Surah Al-Hujurat

Bismillaah ir rahmaan ir raheem

49/Al-Hujurat-1: Yea ayyuheallazeena eamanoo lea tukaaddimoo bayna yadayilleahi va rasoolihee vattakoolleah(vattakoolleaha), innaalleaha sameeun aaleem(aaleemun).
O you who believe (who are âmenû, who wish to reach Allah)! Do not get ahead of Allah and His Messenger, and be the owners of piety towards Allah. Surely Allah is All-Hearing, All-Knowing. (1)
49/Al-Hujurat-2: Yaa ayyuheallazeena eamanoo lea tarfaoo aasveatakum favkaa saavtin nabiyyi va lea tacharoo lahu bil kaavli ka cahri baa’dıkum li baa’dın an taahbataa aa’mealukum va antum lea tash’uroon(tash’uroona).
O you who believe (who wish to reach Allah)! Do not raise your voices above the voice of the Prophet, and do not speak loud to him as you speak loud to one another, lest your deeds should become null while you do not perceive. (2)
49/Al-Hujurat-3: Innallazeena yaguddoona aasveatahum inda rasoolilleahi uleaikal lazeenamtahaanaalleahu kuloobahum lit taakvea lahum maagfiratun va acrun aazeem(aazeemun).
Surely those who lower their voices in the presence of the Messenger of Allah are they whose hearts Allah have tested for the Piety (Takwâ). For them are Forgiveness and a Great Wage. (3)
49/Al-Hujurat-4: Innallazeena yuneadoonaka min vareail hucureati aksaruhum lea yaa’kıloon(yaa’kıloona).
Surely most of those who call out to you from the outside of the rooms do not use their intelligence. (4)
49/Al-Hujurat-5: Va lav annahum saabaroo haattea taahruca ilayhim la keana haayran lahum, vaalleahu gaafoorun raaheem(raaheemun).
And if they were patient until you come out to them, it would certainly be better for them, and Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful. (5)
49/Al-Hujurat-6: Yea ayyuheallazeena eamanoo in ceaakum feasikun bi nabain fa tabayyanoo an tuseeboo kaavman bi cahealatin fa tusbihoo aalea mea faaaltum neadimeen(neadimeena).
O you who believe (who are âmenû)! If a Fâsiq (who is not in the Way of Allah or has gone out of it) brings you news, inquire into it carefully, lest you should harm a people in ignorance, then be regretful for what you have done. (6)
49/Al-Hujurat-7: Vaa’lamoo anna feekum rasoolaalleah(rasoolaalleahi), lav yuteeukum fee kaseerin minal amri la aanittum va leakinnaalleaha haabbaba ilaykumul eemeana va zayyanahu fee kuloobikum, va karraha ilaykumul kufra val fusookaa val isyean(isyeana), uleaika humur reashidoon(reashidoona).
And know that among you is the Messenger of Allah. If he were to obey you in many of the affairs, you would surely be in trouble. But Allah has caused you to love the Faith and has adorned it in your hearts. Shown disbelief, transgression and rebellion to you as negative. Such are those, they who are Râshidûn (those who have attained to the Immaterial Maturity). (7)
49/Al-Hujurat-8: Faadlan minaalleahi va ni’matan, vaalleahu aaleemun haakeem(haakeemun).
(This is) a Virtue and Blessing from Allah. And Allah is All-Knowing, All-Wise. (8)
49/Al-Hujurat-9: Va in teaifateani minal moo’meeneenaktataloo fa aaslihoo bayna humea, fa in bagaat ihdeahumea aalal uhrea fa keatiloollatee tabgee haattea tafeea ilea amrilleah(amrilleahi), fa in feaat fa aaslihoo baynahumea bil aadli va aaksitoo, innaalleaha yuhıbbul muksiteen(muksiteena).
And if two groups of the believers fight, make peace between them. But if one of them attacks the other, then fight against the group that attacked till they return to the Command of Allah. Then if they return, then make peace between them, be just (to them and do not tyrannize the other). Surely Allah loves those who act justly. (9)
49/Al-Hujurat-10: Innamal moo’minoona ihvatun fa aaslihoo bayna ahaavaykum vattakoolleaha laaallakum turhaamoon(turhaamoona).
The believers are only brothers and sisters. Therefore make reconciliation between your brothers and sisters, and have piety towards Allah. It is hoped that you may be given Mercy. (10)
49/Al-Hujurat-11: Yea ayyuheallazeena eamanoo lea yashaar kaavmun min kaavmin aasea an yakoonoo haayran minhum va lea niseaun min niseain aasea an yakunna haayran minhunn(minhunna), va lea talmizoo anfusakum va lea taneabazoo bil alkeab(alkeabi), bi’sal ismul fusooku baa’dal eemean(eemeani), va man lam yatub, fa uleaika humuz zealimoon(zealimoona).
O you who believe (who are âmenû)! Let not one people mock at (another) people. May be they (the mocked) are better than the others, and nor women (mock) at other women, may be they (the others) are better than themselves. And do not defame one another, nor call one another by nicknames. Evil is transgressed names after the Faith, and whoever does not repent, then such are indeed the wrong-doers. (11)
49/Al-Hujurat-12: Yea ayyyuhallazeena eamanooctaniboo kaseeraan minaz zaanni, inna baa’daaz zaanni ismun, va lea tacassasoo va lea yaagtab baa’dukum baa’dea(baa’daan), a yuhıbbu ahaadukum an ya’kula laahma aaheehi maytan fa karihtumooh(karihtumoohu), vattakulleah(vattakulleaha), innaalleaha tavveabun raaheem(raaheemun).
O you who believe (who are âmenû)! Keep away from the conjecture very much. Indeed some conjectures are sins, and do not spy (on the others’ mistakes) nor let some of you gossip about others. Does one of you like to eat the flesh of his dead brother? Of course you dislike it. And have piety towards Allah; surely Allah is the One Who accepts the repentance, the Most Merciful. (12)
49/Al-Hujurat-13: Yea ayyuhan neasu innea haalaakneakum min zakarin va unsea va caaalneakum shuooban va kaabeaila li taearafoo, inna akramakum indaalleahi atkeakum, innaalleaha aaleemun haabeer(haabeerun).
O mankind! Surely We have created you from a male and a female, and made you nations and tribes, that you may get acquainted with one another (your lineage). Surely the most honorable of you in the Presence of Allah is he who is the most pious of you (not by your race or lineage). Surely Allah is All-Knowing, All-Aware. (13)
49/Al-Hujurat-14: Kealatil aa’reabu eamannea, kul lam tu’minoo va leakin kooloo aslamnea va lammea yadhulil eemeanu fee kuloobikum, va in tuteeulleaha va rasoolahu lea yalitkum min aa’mealikum shay’ea(shay’an), innaalleaha gaafoorun raaheem(raaheemun).
The Arabs said: “We have become âmenû”. Say (to them): “You have not become âmenû (You have not wished to reach Allah before death). But say: ‘We have surrendered’. The Faith has not yet entered (into) your hearts; and if you obey Allah and His Messenger (if you wish to reach Allah), He will not diminish anything of your deeds. Surely Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful”. (14)
49/Al-Hujurat-15: Innamal moo’minoonallazeena eamanoo billeahi va rasoolihee summa lam yarteaboo va ceahadoo bi amvealihim va anfusihim fee sabeelilleah(sabeelilleahi), uleaika humus seadikoon(seadikoona).
The (true) believers are only those who believe in Allah and His Messenger, then they did not fall into suspicion. And those who struggle hard in the Way of Allah with their wealth and lives, they indeed, they are the loyal ones. (15)
49/Al-Hujurat-16: Kul atuaalli moonaalleaha bi deenikum vaalleahu yaa’lamu mea fees sameaveati va mea feel aard(aardı), vaalleahu bi kulli shay’in aaleem(aaleemun).
Say: “Are you teaching your religion to Allah? And Allah knows what is in the heavens and in the earth; and Allah is All-Knowing of everything. (16)
49/Al-Hujurat-17: Yamunnoona aalayka an aslamoo kul lea tamunnoo aalayya isleamakum, balilleahu yamunnu aalaykum an hadeakum lil eemeani in kuntum seadikeen(seadikeena).
They want to lay you under an obligation by becoming by submitting. Say: “Do not lay me under obligation by your becoming Islam”. Nay, but Allah lays you under an obligation by guiding you to the Faith if you are loyal. (17)
49/Al-Hujurat-18: Innaalleaha yaa’lamu gaaybas sameaveati val aard(aardı), vaalleahu baaseerun bimea taa’maloon(taa’maloona).
Surely Allah knows the Unseen of the heavens and the earth. And Allah is the All-Seer of what you do. (18)
