Surah Ar-Ra'd

Bismillaah ir rahmaan ir raheem

13/Ar-Ra'd-1: Alif leam mim rea tilka eayeatul kiteab(kiteabi), vallazee unzila ilayka min raabbikal haakku va leakinna aksaran neasi lea yu’minoon(yu’minoona).
Alif-Lâm-Mîm-Râ. These are the Verses of the Book, and the truth that which is sent down to you from your Lord. But most people do not believe (become Mumin). (1)
13/Ar-Ra'd-2: AAlleahullazee rafaaas samaaveati bi gaayri aamadin taravnahea summastavea aalal aarshı va sahhaarash shamsa val kaamar(kaamara), kullun yacree li acalin musammea(musamman), yudabbirul amra yufaassılul eayeati laaallakum bi likeai raabbikum tookınoon(tookınoona)."
It is Allah who erected the (levels of) heavens without pillars that you see. Then, He established Himself upon the Throne and He has subjected the sun and the moon to His command. Each one pursues its course for an appointed term. He manages and regulates all matter. He explains the Verses in detail that you may be certain of reaching your Lord (of having your spirits reach Allah before death). (2)
13/Ar-Ra'd-3: Va huvallazee maddal aardaa va caaala feehea raveasiya va anhearea(anhearan), va min kullis samareati caaala feehea zavcaynisnayni yugshil laylan nahear(naheara), inna fee zealika la eayeatin li kaavmin yatafakkaroon(yatafakkaroona).
And He it is Who spreads out the earth and makes it longer. He created in it firm mountains and rivers, and from all of the creation He made therein two (opposite) mates. He makes the night cover the day. Most surely there are Signs (proofs) in this for a people who reflect. (3)
In the earth there are neighboring continents (sections of land) and gardens of vines and green crops and date-palms growing into two or three from a single stem root. They are watered with the same water, and some of them We make more excellent (in taste and smell) than others to eat. Most surely there are Signs in this for a people who understand. (4)
13/Ar-Ra'd-5: Va in taa’cab fa aacabun kaavluhum a izea kunnea tureaban a innea la fee haalkın cadeed(cadeedin), uleaikallazeena kafaroo bi raabbihim, va uleaikal aaglealu fee aa’neakıhim, va uleaika aasheabun near(neari), hum feehea healidoon(healidoona).
If you find it strange, then actually strange is their saying: “What! When we are dust, shall we then certainly be raised in a new creation?” These are those who deny their Lord. And these are the ones who have chains on their necks, and they are the inmates of the Fire. In it they shall abide forever. (5)
13/Ar-Ra'd-6: Va yastaa’ciloonaka bis sayyiati kaablal haasanati va kaad haalat min kaablihimul masuleat(masuleatu), va inna raabbaka lazoo maagfiratin lin neasi aalea zulmihim, va inna raabbaka la shadeedul ıkeab(ıkeabi).
And they ask you to hasten on the bad before the good and indeed there have been many exemplary punishments before them. And most surely your Lord is the Owner of forgiveness in spite of all their wrong-doing and most surely your Lord is Severe in requiting. (6)
13/Ar-Ra'd-7: Va yakoolullazeena kafaroo lav lea unzila aalayhi eayatun min raabbih(raabbihee), innamea anta munzirun va li kulli kaavmin head(headin).
And those who disbelieve say: “Why has not a miracle been sent down upon him from his Lord”? You are only a Warner and there is a guide (person of Hidayet) for every people (at all times in all nations). (7)
13/Ar-Ra'd-8: AAlleahu yaa’lamu mea taahmilu kullu unsea va mea tageedul arheamu va mea tazdead(tazdeadu), va kullu shay’in indahu bi mıkdear(mıkdearin).
Allah knows what every female bears and what the wombs decrease and increase. And everything with Him is by due measure. (8)
13/Ar-Ra'd-9: EAlimul gaaybi vash shaheadatil kabeerul mutaeal(mutaeali).
He is the All-Knower of the Unseen and the seen (witnessed), the Most Great, the Most High. (9)
13/Ar-Ra'd-10: Saveaun minkum man asarral kaavla va man cahara bihee va man huva mustaahfin bil layli va searibun bin nahear(naheari).
It is the same among you he who conceals his words and he who speaks them openly, and he who hides himself by night and who continuous to walk by day. (10)
13/Ar-Ra'd-11: Lahu muaakkibeatun min bayni yadayhi va min haalfihee yaahfazoonahu min amrilleah(amrilleahi), innaalleaha lea yugaayyiru mea bi kaavmin haattea yugaayyiroo mea bi anfusihim, va izea areadaalleahu bi kaavmin sooan fa lea maradda lah(lahu), va mea lahum min doonihee min veal(vealin).
For them (those in that nation) there are those who follow before them and behind them (that extends from the front side to the back) (the angels guarding the Imam of the Time). They guard them, being from the Command of Allah. Surely Allah does not alter what is in a people (He does not take away the spirit of the Imam of the Time from over their heads) unless they alter what is in their souls (their intention of remaining in Hidayet). And when Allah wills punishment to a people, there is no averting it. And there is for them besides Him no protecting friend. (11)
13/Ar-Ra'd-12: Huvaallazee yureekumul barkaa haavfan va taamaaan va yunshius saheabas sikeal(sikeala).
He it is Who shows you the lightning causing fear and hope and generates (organizes) the clouds, heavy (with rain). (12)
13/Ar-Ra'd-13: Va yusabbihur raa’du bi haamdihee val maleaikatu min heefatih(heefatihee), va yursilus saaveaıkaa fa yuseebu bihea man ya?eau va hum yuceadiloona filleah(filleahi), va huva ?adeedul miheal(miheali).
The thunder and the angels glorify Him with His praise from fear of Him. And He sends the thunderbolts and smites with them whom He wills, as they struggle against Allah. And He is the One that impossible to resist. (13)
13/Ar-Ra'd-14: Lahu daa’vatul haakk(haakkı), vallazeena yad’oona min doonihee lea yastaceeboona lahum bi shay’in illea kabeasitı kaffayhi ileal meai li yablugaa feahu va mea huva bi bealigıhee, va mea dueaul keafireena illea fee daaleal(daalealin).
To Him (to Allah Himself) is the call of the Truth. And those they call upon besides Him do not respond to them with a thing. They are like the one who stretches forth his two hands towards water that it may reach his mouth. But it will not reach him. And the invitation of the disbelievers is only to Misguidance (as the water cannot reach their mouths, those who are in Misguidance cannot reach Guidance either). (14)
13/Ar-Ra'd-15: Va lilleahi yascudu man fis sameaveati val aardı taav’aan va karhan va zilealuhum bil guduvvi val easeal(easeali).
Whoever is in the heavens and the earth and their shadows fall into prostration unto Allah, day and night, willingly and unwillingly [The shadows of the physical bodies are the soul (Nafs) and the spirit (Ruh). When the physical body prostrates itself, the soul too prostrates itself. The spirit prostrates itself willingly with its virtues. The soul prostrates itself unwillingly because of its vices. If the person has wished to reach Allah, when he attains to the soul’s cleansing stage, then it is the spirit that is preponderant, and the soul also prostrates itself willingly.] (15)
13/Ar-Ra'd-16: Kul man raabbus sameaveati val aard(aardı), kulilleah(kulilleahu), kul a fattahaaztum min doonihee avliyeaa lea yamlikoona li anfusihim naf’aan va lea daarrea(daarran), kul hal yastavil aa’mea val baaseeru am hal tastaveez zulumeatu van noor(nooru), am caaaloo lilleahi shurakeaa haalaakoo ka haalkıhee fa tasheabahal haalku aalayhim, kulilleahu healiku kulli shay’in va huval veahidul kaahhear(kaahhearu).
Say: “Who is the Lord of the heavens and the earth?” Say: “Allah.” Have you then taken friends other than Him who do not possess even for themselves any benefit or any harm? Say: “Are the blind and the seeing equal, or the darkness and the glorious light?” Or do they assign to Allah partners who created the like of His Creation, so that the creation seemed alike to them? Say: “Allah is the Creator of all things.” And He is the only Demolisher, the most Powerful over everything and the Strongest. (16)
13/Ar-Ra'd-17: Anzala minas sameai meaan fa sealat avdiyatun bi kaadarihea faahtamalas saylu zabadan reabiyea(reabiyan), va mimmea yookıdoona aalayhi feen nearibtigeaa hılyatin av mateaın zabadun misluh(misluhu), kazealika yaadribulleahul haakkaa val beatıl(beatıla), fa ammaz zabadu fa yazhabu cufea’(cufeaan), va ammea mea yanfaaun neasa fa yamkusufeel aard(aardı), kazealika yaadrıbulleahul amseal(amseala).
He sent down water from the sky. So the valleys flew according to their measure. And the torrent bore along the swelling foam. There is also foam like it on which they heat (melt) in the fire, making nice adornments and utensils. Thus Allah gives such examples for the truth and the falsehood. Then the foam passes away. But what profits the people remains in the earth. Allah sets forth such illustrations. (17)
13/Ar-Ra'd-18: Lillazeenastaceaboo li raabbihimul husnea, vallazeena lam yastaciboo lahu lav anna lahum mea feel aardı cameeaan va mislahu maaahu laftadav bihee, uleaika lahum sooul hıseabi va ma’veahum cahannam(cahannamu), va bi’sal mihead(miheadu).
For those who answer their Lord (His Call) is the Best (Al-Husnâ) and as for those who do not answer Him, if they had all that is in the earth and the like thereof with it they would certainly offer it for a ransom. As for those, there is an evil reckoning and their abode is Hell; how evil resting-place. (18)
13/Ar-Ra'd-19: A fa man yaa’lamu annamea unzila ilayka min raabbikal haakku ka man huva aa’mea, innamea yatazakkaru oolul albeab(albeabi).
Is he then who knows that what has been sent to you from Lord is the truth like him who is blind? Only Ûli’l Elbâb (the owners of the divine secrets and the continuous remembrance) deliberates. (19)
13/Ar-Ra'd-20: Allazeena yoofoona bi aahdilleahi va lea yankudoonal miseak(miseakaa).
They fulfill (Ahdallâh) the Covenant of Allah (they submit their spirits, physical bodies, souls and free wills to Allah). And they do not break their (Mîsâq) Promise, (their promise concerning the fact that they will also submit their free wills to Allah along with their other submissions). (20)
13/Ar-Ra'd-21: Vallazeena yaasıloona mea amaraalleahu bihee an yoosaala va yaahshavna raabbahum va yaheafoona sooal hiseab(hiseabi).
And they deliver to Him (their spirit) what Allah commands that it should be delivered to Allah (before death). And they have reverence for their Lord and fear the evil reckoning (going to Hell). (21)
13/Ar-Ra'd-22: Vallazeena saabaroobtigeaa vachi raabbihim va akeamoos saaleata va anfakoo mimmea razaakneahum sirran va aaleaniyatan va yadraoona bil haasanatis sayyiata uleaika lahum ukbad dear(deari).
They are the ones who remain patient, seeking the Countenance of their Lord (to reach His Essence, and see Him), and keep up the prayer, and spend out of what We have given them as sustenance secretly and openly, and repel evil with good. As for those, there is a (good) end in this world. (22)
13/Ar-Ra'd-23: Canneatu aadnin yadhuloonahea va man saalaahaa min eabeaihim va azveacihim va zurriyyeatihim val maleaikatu yadhuloona aalayhim min kulli beab(beabin).
(There are) Gardens of Eden which they will enter along with those who had reached the highest Improvement (Salâh) from among their parents and their spouses and their offspring. And the angels will enter in upon them from every gate. (23)
13/Ar-Ra'd-24: Saleamun aalaykum bi mea saabartum fa ni’ma ukbad dear(deari).
Peace be upon you due to your patience. How excellent is the end of the worldly home. (24)
13/Ar-Ra'd-25: Vallazeena yaankudoona aahdaalleahi min baa’di meeseakıhi va yaaktaaoona mea amaraalleahu bihi an yoosaala va yufsidoona feel aardı uleaika lahumul laa’natu va lahum sooud dear(deari).
And those who break (Ahdallâh) the Covenant of Allah, (who do not submit their spirits, physical bodies, souls and free wills to Allah in spite of their covenant) after their Promise (given to Allah in the pre-eternity concerning the fact that they should submit their spirits, physical bodies, souls and free wills to Allah). And sever that which Allah has ordered that they should deliver to Him (they do not deliver their spirits back to Allah). And make mischief in the earth (keeping other people from the Sıratı Mustakîm). As for these, there is a Curse, and for them an evil abode (Hell). (25)
13/Ar-Ra'd-26: AAlleahu yabsutur rızkaa li man yasheau va yaakdir(yaakdiru), va farihoo bil haayeatid dunyea, va maal haayeatud dunyea feel eahırati illea matea’u(mateaun).
Allah amplifies and straitens the means of subsistence for whom He wills. They rejoice in the life of the world, whereas the life of this world is nothing compared with the Hereafter but a temporary enjoyment. (26)
13/Ar-Ra'd-27: Va yakoolullazeena kafaroo lav lea unzila aalayhi eayatun min raabbihi, kul innaalleaha yudillu man yasheau va yahdee ilayhi man aneab(aneaba).
And those who disbelieve say: “Why has a Sign not been sent down upon him from his Lord?” Say: “Surely Allah leaves in Misguidance whom He wills, and guides to Himself (gives them Hidayet) those who turn to Him. (27)
13/Ar-Ra'd-28: Allazeena eamanoo va taatmaainnu kuloobuhum bi zikrilleah(zikrilleahi) a lea bi zikrilleahi taatmaainnul kuloob(kuloobu).
Those who believed (became âmenû, wished to reach Allah before death) and their hearts have been satisfied with the remembrance of Allah. Now surely with the remembrance of Allah the hearts find satisfaction, do they not? (28)
13/Ar-Ra'd-29: Allazeena eamanoo va aamiloos sealiheati toobea lahum va husnu maeab(maeabin).
How wonderful for those who believe (become âmenû, those who wish to reach Allah before death) and do improving deeds, the best of the Meab (refuge) is for them. (29)
13/Ar-Ra'd-30: Kazealika arsalneaka fee ummatin kaad haalat min kaablihea umamun li tatluva aalayhimullazee avhaaynea ilayka va hum yakfuroona bir raahmean(raahmeani), kul huva raabbee lea ileaha illea hoo(hoova), aalayhi tavakkaltu va ilayhi mateab(mateabi).
And thus We have sent you among a nation before which other nations have passed away in order that you might recite (read and explain) to them what We have revealed to you. They deny the most Beneficent. Say: “He is my Lord. There is no god but He. In Him I have put my trust and to Him is my repentance, my return (my return as the one whose repentance has been accepted)”. (30)
13/Ar-Ra'd-31: Va lav anna kur’eanan suyyirat bihil cibealu av kuttıaat bihil aardu av kullima bihil mavtea, bal lilleahil amru cameeea(cameeaan), a fa lam ya’yasillazeena eamanoo an lav yasheaulleahu la hadan neasa cameeea(cameeaan),va lea yazealullazeena kafaroo tuseebuhum bi mea saanaaoo keariaatun av tahullu kaareeban min dearihim haattea ya’tiya vaa’dulleah(vaa’dulleahi), innaalleaha lea yuhliful meeead(meeeada).
And if there had been a Qur’ân with which the mountains are moved or the earth is torn asunder, or the dead are made to speak, all things (commands) belong to Allah. Have not yet those who believe (who are âmenû) despaired of their becoming believers? If Allah had willed, He would certainly have delivered all people to Hidayet (Guidance). Those who disbelieve do not cease to be struck by calamity (punishment), for what they have done or for it to descend near their home until there comes the promise of Allah. Certainly Allah does not turn away from His Promise. (31)
13/Ar-Ra'd-32: Va lakaadistuhzia bi rusulin min kaablika fa amlaytu lillazeena kafaroo summa ahaaztuhum, fa kayfa keana ıkeab(ıkeabi).
And Messengers before you were certainly mocked at as well. But I gave time to those who disbelieved. Then I seized (destroyed) them. How then was My requital? (32)
13/Ar-Ra'd-33: A fa man huva keaimun aalea kulli nafsin bi mea kasabat, va caaaloo lilleahi shurakea’(shurakeaa), kul sammoohum, am tunabbioonahu bi mea lea yaa’lamu feel aardı am bi zeahirin minal kaavl(kaavli), bal zuyyina lillazeena kafaroo makruhum va suddoo aanis sabeel(sabeeli), va man yudlililleahu fa mea lahu min head(headin).
Then who maintains every soul as to what it has earned? And yet they gave associates to Allah! Say: “Name them (invite them with their names and see that they cannot respond)! Are you informing Him of what He does not know in the earth? Or an outward saying?” Rather, their plotting is made to appear fair-seeming to those who disbelieve, and they are driven away from the Way (of Allah). And whomever Allah leaves in Misguidance, there is then for him no person of Hidayet (Mahdi). (33)
For them is a torment in the life of this world and certainly, even harder is the torment of the Hereafter. And there is for them no protector from (the torment of) Allah. (34)
13/Ar-Ra'd-35: Masalul cannatillatee vuidal muttakoon(muttakoona), tacree min taahtihal anhear(anhearu), ukuluhea deaimun va zilluhea, tilka ukballazeenattakaav va ukbal keafireenan near(nearu).
Heaven that is promised for the owners of piety (Al-Muttaqûn) is like the (garden) that rivers flow beneath it; its fruits and its shadow are perpetual. This is the end of those who have piety. Yet the end of the disbelievers is the Fire. (35)
13/Ar-Ra'd-36: Vallazeena eatayneahumul kiteaba yafrahoona bimea unzila ilayka va minal aahzeabi man yunkiru baa’daah(baa’daahu), kul innamea umirtu an aa’budaalleaha va lea ushrika bih(bihee), ilayhi ad’oo va ilayhi maeab(maeabi).
Those who are given the Book rejoice in what has been sent down to you. Tell the groups who deny a part of it: “I am only commanded that I should serve Allah and not associate anything with Him. To Him I invite and to Him is my return (refuge).” (36)
13/Ar-Ra'd-37: Va kazealika anzalneahu hukman aaraabiyyea(aaraabiyyan), va la inittabaa’ta ahveaahum baa’da mea ceaaka minal ilmi mea laka minaalleahi min valiyyin va lea veak(veakın).
And thus have We sent it down as a Judgment in Arabic. If you follow their low desires after what has come to you of knowledge, there is for you no protecting friend or defender from Allah. (37)
13/Ar-Ra'd-38: Va lakaad arsalnea rusulan min kaablika va caaalnea lahum azveacan va zurriyyah(zurriyyatan), va mea keana li rasoolin an ya’tiya bi eayatin illea bi iznilleah(iznilleahi), li kulli acalin kiteab(kiteabun).
And certainly We sent Messengers before you and made for them wives and offspring. It is not (possible) for a Messenger to bring a Verse except by Allah’s Leave. For every time-period, there is a Book. (38)
13/Ar-Ra'd-39: Yamhoolleahu mea yasheau va yusbit(yusbitu), va indahu ummul kiteab(kiteabi).
Allah erases, demolishes what He wills and makes fixed (what He wills) and with Him is the Ummul Kitâb (the Mother of the Books). (39)
13/Ar-Ra'd-40: Va in mea nuriyannaka baa’daallazee naiduhum av natavaffayannaka fa innamea aalaykal baleagu va aalaynal hiseab(hiseabu).
Whether We show you part of what We have promised them or cause you to die, your duty is only to convey (the Message) and on Us is the Reckoning. (40)
13/Ar-Ra'd-41: A va lam yarav annea na’til aardaa nankusuhea min atreafihea, vaalleahu yaahkumu lea muaakkıba li hukmih(li hukmihee), va huva sareeul hıseab(hıseabi).
Do they not see how coming to the earth, we reduce of its sides (outlying borders)? And Allah judges, there is none to repel His Judgment. And he is Swift at reckoning. (41)
13/Ar-Ra'd-42: Va kaad makarallazeena min kaablihim fa lilleahil makru cameeea(cameeaan),yaa’lamu mea taksibu kullu nafs(nafsin), va sa yaa’lamul kuffearu li man ukbad dear(deari).
Those before them did devise plots (as well). Yet all plotting is Allah’s. He knows what each soul earns, and the disbelievers shall soon know for who the end of this abode is. (42)
13/Ar-Ra'd-43: Va yakoolullazeena kafaroo lasta mursalea(mursalan), kul kafea billeahi shaheedan baynee va baynakum va man indahu ilmul kiteab(kiteabi).
And those who disbelieve say: “You have not been sent as a Messenger”. Say: “Sufficient as a Witness between me and you is Allah and those too who have the knowledge of the Book.” (43)
