Surah Sad

Bismillaah ir rahmaan ir raheem

38/Sad-1: Sead, val kur’eani zeez zikr(zikri).
Sâd, by the Qur’ân, the owner of Remembrance (Dhikr). (1)
38/Sad-2: Balillazeena kafaroo fee ızzatin va shikeak(shikeakın).
Nay! Disbelievers are in pride and division. (2)
38/Sad-3: Kam ahlaknea min kaablihim min kaarnin fa neadav va leata heena maneas(maneasin).
How many generations did We destroy before them. Then they cried out, but the time of salvation had passed away. (3)
38/Sad-4: Va aaciboo an ceaahum munzirun minhum va kealal keafiroona heazea seahırun kazzeab(kazzeabun).
And they were perplexed that a Warner from among themselves has come to them and the disbelievers said: “This is such a lying sorcerer”. (4)
Does he make the gods a single God? A strange thing is this, to be sure! (5)
38/Sad-6: Vantaalakaal malau minhum animshoo vaasbiroo aalea ealihatikum inna heazea la shay’un yuread(yureadu).
And the notables of them broke forth (saying): “Go ahead! Remain patient (constant) to your gods! This is most surely a thing sought of you for sure”. (6)
38/Sad-7: Mea sami’nea bi heazea feel millatil eahırah(eahırati), in heazea illeahtileak(illeahtileakun).
We never heard of this (that all deities are actually one) in other religions. This is nothing but a forgery. (7)
38/Sad-8: A unzila aalayhiz zikru min bayninea, bal hum fee shakkin min zikree, bal lammea yazookoo aazeab(aazeabi).
Has the Reminder (Dhikr) been sent down to him from among us? Nay! They are in doubt about My Reminder (Dhikr)! Nay! They have not yet tasted My Torment! (8)
38/Sad-9: Am indahum haazeainu raahmati raabbikal aazeezil vahheab(vahheabi).
Or are the treasures of the Mercy of your Lord, the All-Mighty, the All-Forgiving, All-Bestowing with them? (9)
38/Sad-10: Am lahum mulkus sameaveati val aardı va mea baynahumea, falyartakoo feel asbeab(asbeabi).
Or is the Dominion of the heavens and the earth and what is between them theirs? Then let them ascend by finding the means (the ways). (10)
38/Sad-11: Cundun mea hunealika mahzoomun minal aahzeab(aahzeabi).
(They are) here a defeated army formed of the factions. (11)
38/Sad-12: Kazzabat kaablahum kaavmu noohın va eadun va fir’aavnu zul avteadi.
The people of Noah and Âd and the owner of spikes Pharaoh had denied before them as well. (12)
38/Sad-13: Va samoodu va kaavmu lootın va aasheabul aykah(aykati), uleaikal aahzeab(aahzeabu).
And the people of Thamûd, and Lot and the Dwellers of ‘Elke’; these were the (denying) factions too. (13)
38/Sad-14: In kullun illea kazzabar rusula fa haakkaa ıkeab(ıkeabi).
They all called the Messengers nothing but liars. So My punishment was justified. (14)
38/Sad-15: Va mea yaanzuru heauleai illea saayhaatan veahıdatan mea lahea min faveak(faveakın).
And they are not waiting for anything but a single Shout (a violent sound-wave), where there will be no other opportunity for them. (15)
38/Sad-16: Va kealoo raabbanea aaccil lanea kıttaanea kaabla yavmil hiseab(hiseabi).
And they said: “Our Lord! Hasten on for us our portion before the Day of Reckoning”. (16)
38/Sad-17: Isbır aalea mea yakooloona vazkur aabdanea deavooda zal ayd(aydi), innahoo avveab(avveabun).
Be patient of what they say, and remember Our servant David, the possessor of power. He was certainly Evvâb (He had reached Allah). (17)
38/Sad-18: Innea saahhaarnal cibeala maaahu yusabbıhna bil aashiyyi val ishreak(ishreakı).
Surely We made the mountains subservient to him. They glorified (Us) with him at sunrise and nightfall. (18)
38/Sad-19: Vat taayra maahshoorah(maahshooratan), kullun lahoo avveab(avveabun).
And (We made) the birds gathered together (subservient to him too). They were all Evvâb (all had turned to Him and taken refuge in Him). (19)
38/Sad-20: Va shadadnea mulkahu va eatayneahul hikmata va faaslal hıteab(hıteabi).
And We strengthened his dominion and We gave him wisdom and Fasl-ı Hitâb (the ability to address to audience and to judge with justice by distinguishing the right from wrong). (20)
38/Sad-21: Va hal ateaka nabaul haasm(haasmi), iz tasavvarool mihreab(mihreaba).
And has the news of the litigants come to you? They had made an entry into the private chamber (David’s praying place) by climbing over the walls. (21)
38/Sad-22: Iz dahaaloo aalea deavooda fa faziaa minhum kealoo lea tahaaf, haasmeani bagea baa’dunea aalea baa’dın faahkum baynanea bil haakkı va lea tushtıt vahdinea ilea saveais sıreat(sıreatı).
When they burst in upon David, he was frightened at them. “Do not fear! We are two litigants, of whom one has acted wrongfully towards the other. Therefore decide between us with justice! Do not be extravagant (do not be unjust)! Make us reach the middle course (the just solution)”. (22)
Surely this is my brother. He has ninety-nine sheep and I have a single sheep. Yet he said: “Make it over to me (give that to me too)”, and he has prevailed against me in speech. (23)
He (David) said: “Surely he has wronged you in demanding your sheep in addition to his. And most surely most of the partners act wrongfully towards one another. Except those who believe (who wish to reach Allah while they are alive) and do improving deeds (do the soul’s cleansing). And very few are they! And David guessed that we had tried him. So he sought Forgiveness of his Lord and he fell down prostrate. And he turned to his Lord (he has reached his Lord with his words and seeing Him, and received an answer). (24)
Therefore We forgave him (in this matter). Most surely he has a high rank in Our Presence and an excellent refuge (resort). (25)
38/Sad-26: Yea deavoodu innea caaalneaka haaleefatan feel aardı faahkum baynan neasi bil haakkı va lea tattabiil havea fa yudıllaka aan sabeelilleah(sabeelilleahi), innallazeena yaadılloona aan sabeelilleahi lahum aazeabun shadeedun bi mea nasoo yavmal hiseab(hiseabi).
O David! Surely We have made you a vicegerent in the earth. So rule between mankind with justice and do not follow the low desires (the soul) lest it should lead you astray from the Way of Allah. As for those who go astray from the Way of Allah, there is for them a severe torment because they forgot the Day of Reckoning. (26)
38/Sad-27: Va mea haalaaknas sameaa val aardaa va mea baynahumea beatılaa(beatılan), zealika zaannullazeena kafaroo, fa vaylun lillazeena kafaroo minan near(neari).
And We did not create the heaven and the earth and what is between them in vain. That is the opinion of those who disbelieve. Then woe to those who disbelieve, on account of Fire (since they will be tormented). (27)
38/Sad-28: Am nac’aalullazeena eamanoo va aamiloos sealiheati kal mufsideena feel aardı am nac’aalul muttakeena kal fuccear(fucceari).
Shall We treat those who believe (who wish to reach Allah before death) and do improving deeds (do the soul’s cleansing) like the mischief-makers in the earth, or those who are the pious (the owners of takwâ) like the wicked. (28)
38/Sad-29: Kiteabun anzalneahu ilayka mubearakun li yaddabbaroo eayeatihee va li yatazakkara oolul albeab(albeabi).
We have sent down to you this Blessed Book that they may take caution with its Verses and that Ulûl'elbab (the owners of continuous remembrance, the owners of the secret divine treasures) may deliberate. (29)
38/Sad-30: Va vahabnea li deavooda sulaymean(sulaymeana), ni’mal aabd(aabdu), innahoo avveab(avveabun).
And We bestowed on David, his son Solomon. How excellent servant! Surely he was Evvâb (He had reached Allah). (30)
38/Sad-31: Iz urıdaa aalayhi bil aashiyyis seafineatul ciyead(ciyeadu).
There were brought to him in the evening marvelous breed horses ready to run. (31)
38/Sad-32: Fa keala innee aahbabtu hubbal haayri aan zikri raabbee, haattea tavearat bil hıceab(hıceabi).
Then he said: “Surely I love (them) with the love of goodness (with the love of those who have attained to continuous remembrance) because I remember (repeat the Name of) my Lord”. (When the horses) disappeared (running swiftly and raising clouds of dust) behind the curtain. (32)
38/Sad-33: Ruddoohea aalayy(aalayya), fa taafikaa mashaan bis sookı val aa’neak(aa’neakı).
(He said:) “Bring them back to me”. So he began to caress their legs and necks. (33)
38/Sad-34: Va lakaad fatannea sulaymeana va alkaaynea aalea kursiyyihee casadan summa aneab(aneaba).
And certainly We tried Solomon, and We made him reach on his throne as a (mere) body, then he turned (departed). (34)
38/Sad-35: Keala raabbigfir lee vahab lee mulkan lea yanbaagee li ahaadin min baa’dee, innaka antal vahheab(vahheabu).
He said: “My Lord! Forgive me and bestow upon me a dominion which cannot be attained by anyone else after me. Verily, you are All-Forgiving. (35)
38/Sad-36: Fa sahhaarnea lahur reehaa tacree bi amrihee ruheaan haaysu aseab(aseaba).
Upon that We made the wind subservient to him. By his command, it would go where ever he desired blowing gently. (36)
38/Sad-37: Vash shayeateena kulla banneain va gaavveasın.
And also all the devils that they are the builders and divers. (37)
38/Sad-38: Va eahaareena mukaarraneena feel aasfead(aasfeadi).
And the others (too) fettered in chains (given to his command). (38)
38/Sad-39: Heazea aateaunea famnun av amsik bi gaayri hiseab(hiseabin).
These are Our gifts. So bestow freely or withhold, without reckoning. (39)
And most surely he has a high rank in Our Presence and an excellent refuge (resort). (40)
38/Sad-41: Vazkur aabdanea ayyoob(ayyooba), iz neadea raabbahoo annee massaniyash shayteanu bi nusbin va aazeab(aazeabin).
And remember Our servant Job (Ayyûb). He had called upon his Lord, saying: “Verily, Satan had distress and torment touched me”. (41)
38/Sad-42: Urkud biriclik(biriclika), heazea mugtasalun bearidun va shareab(shareabun).
Strike (the ground) with your foot. Here is a cool water to wash and drink. (42)
38/Sad-43: Va vahabnea lahoo ahlahu va mislahum maaahum raahmatan minnea va zikrea li ooleel albeab(albeabi).
And We bestowed on Him his family and the like of it with them, as a Mercy from Us, and as a reminder (Dhikr) for Ulûl'elbab (the owners of the continuous Dhikr, owners of the secret divine treasures). (43)
38/Sad-44: Va huz bi yadika dıgsan faadrıb bihee va lea taahnas, innea vacadneahu seabiraa(seabiran), ni’mal aabd(aabdu), innahoo avveab(avveabun).
And (O, Job) take in your hand a bundle of thin grass and strike with it and do not break your oath. Surely We found him patient. What an excellent servant he was! Surely he was Evvâb (he had reached Allah, submitted his spirit to Allah by making it reach Allah before death). (44)
38/Sad-45: Vazkur ıbeadanea ibreaheema va isheakaa va yaa’kooba ooleel aydee val absear(abseari).

38/Sad-46: Innea aahlaasneahum bi healisaatin zikrad dear(deari).
Surely We made them utterly pure (servants) as the owners of the utter purity remembering the Home (of the Hereafter). (46)
And most surely they are absolutely of ‘the best and the chosen’ in Our Presence. (47)
38/Sad-48: Vazkur ismeaeela valyasaaa va zal kifl(kifli), va kullun minal aahyear(aahyeari).
And remember Ishmael, Elisha (Alyasa) and Isaiah (Dhu’l Kifl). They were all of the best. (48)
This (the Glorious Qur’ân) is a Reminder (Dhikr). And most surely there is indeed the Best Refuge (the Esence of Allah) for the owners of piety. (49)
38/Sad-50: Canneati aadnin mufattahaatan la humul abveab(abveabu).
There are heavens of Eden whose doors are opened for them. (50)

This is what you are promised for the Day of Reckoning. (53)
38/Sad-54: Inna heazea la rızkunea mea lahu min nafead(nafeadin).
Most surely this is Our endless sustenance. (54)
This (is the state of those who are in heaven). And most surely there is an evil refuge (resort) for the inordinate ones. (55)
38/Sad-56: Cahannam(cahannama), yaaslavnahea, fa bi’sal mihead(miheadu).
Hell; they enter it. That is a terrible resting place. (56)
38/Sad-57: Heazea fal yazookoohu haamiymun va gaasseak(gaasseakun).
This (is the state of those who are in hell), so let them taste the boiling water and dirty wound discharges. (57)
