Surah Maryam

Bismillaah ir rahmaan ir raheem

19/Maryam-1: Keaf, hea, yea, aayn, sead.
Kâf-Hâ-Yâ-Aîn-Sâd. (1)
19/Maryam-2: Zikru raahmati raabbika aabdahu zakariyyea.
(This chapter is) a mention (story) of the Mercy of your Lord to His servant Zachariah. (2)
19/Maryam-3: Iz neadea raabbahu nideaan haafiyyea(haafiyyan).
He had called out his Lord (Allah) a call in secret. (3)
19/Maryam-4: Keala raabbee innee va hanal aazmu minnee vashtaaalar ra’su shayban va lam akun bi dueaika raabbee shaakıyyea(shaakıyyan).
(He) said: “Surely I (am weakened) and my bones (too) are weakened and my head (hair) is filled with gray. And, my Lord, I have never been ungrateful in my prayer to You”. (4)
19/Maryam-5: Va innee hıftul mavealiya min vareaee va keanatimraatee eakıraan fahab lee min ladunka valiyyea(valiyyan).
And surely I feared my relatives after me (that they will not behave like me) and my wife is now barren. Therefore give me from Your Presence a Walî (a friend, a helper, a son, an heir). (5)
19/Maryam-6: Yarisunee va yarisu min eali yaa’kooba vac’aalhu raabbee raadıyyea(raadıyyan).
Who should inherit me and inherit from the family of Jacob and make him, my Lord, one who is Well-Pleased with You. (6)
19/Maryam-7: Yea zakariyyea innea nubashshiruka bi guleaminismuhu yaahyea lam nac’aal lahu min kaablu samiyyea(samiyyan).
O Zachariah! Surely We give you the glad tidings of a son, whose name shall be John (Yahyâ). We have not given this name to anyone before. (7)
19/Maryam-8: Keala raabbee annea yakoonu lee guleamun va keanatimraatee eakıraan va kaad balaagtu minal kibari ıtiyyea(ıtiyyan).
(Zachariah) said: “My Lord! How shall I have a son when my wife is barren and I myself have reached extreme old age”? (8)
19/Maryam-9: Keala kazealik(kazealika), keala raabbuka huva aalayya hayyinun va kaad haalaaktuka min kaablu va lam taku shay’ea(shay’an).
(The angel) said: “Just like that”. Your Lord says: “It is easy to Me, and indeed I created you before, when you were nothing”. (9)
19/Maryam-10: Keala raabbic’aal lee eayah(eayatan), keala eayatuka allea tukalliman neasa saleasa layealin saviyyea(saviyyan).
(Zachariah) said: “My Lord! Appoint for me a sign”. (Allah) said: “Your sign is that you will not speak to the people three nights while in sound health”. (10)
19/Maryam-11: Fa haaraca aalea kaavmihee minal mihreabi fa avhea ilayhim an sabbihoo bukratan va aashiyyea(aashiyyan).
So he went forth to his people from Al-Mihrâb (the Shrine), and he revealed to them (he had them hear with his inner voice without speaking) that they should glorify (Allah) night and day. (11)
19/Maryam-12: Yea yaahyea huzil kiteaba bi kuvvah(kuvvatin), va eatayneahul hukma saabiyyea(saabiyyan).
O John (Yahyâ)! Take hold of (own) the Book with strength (care), and We granted him the Wisdom while yet a child. (12)
19/Maryam-13: Va haaneanan min ladunnea va zakeah(zakeatan), va keana takıyyea(takıyyan).
And (We gave him) Love and purity (soul’s cleansing) from Our Presence and he became the owner of Takwâ (piety). (13)
19/Maryam-14: Va barran bi vealidayhi va lam yakun cabbearan aasıyyea(aasıyyan).
And was the owner of Birr towards his parents and he was not rebellious tyrant. (14)
19/Maryam-15: Va saleamun aalayhi yavma vulida va yavma yamootu va yavma yub’aasu haayyea(haayyan).
And peace be on him on the day he was born, and on the day he dies, and on the Day he is raised to life (resurrected). (15)
19/Maryam-16: Vazkur fil kiteabı maryam(maryama), izintabazat min ahlihea makeanan shaarkıyyea(shaarkıyyan).
And mention (remember) Mary (Maryam) in the Book. She had withdrawn from her family to a place toward the east. (16)
19/Maryam-17: Fattahaazat min doonihim hiceaban fa arsalnea ilayhea roohaanea fa tamassala lahea basharan saviyyea(saviyyan).
Then she took a veil in seclusion from them. Then We sent to her Our spirit (the Holy Spirit). He appeared to her as a regular man. (17)
19/Maryam-18: Kealat innee aoozu bir raahmeani minka in kunta takıyyea(takıyyan).
(Mary) said: “I seek refuge in the Most Beneficent from you. If you are the owner of piety (no harm would come from you)”. (18)
19/Maryam-19: Keala innamea ana rasoolu raabbiki li ahaba laki guleaman zakiyyea(zakiyyan).
(He) said: “I am only a Messenger from your Lord that I will grant you a pure boy”. (19)
19/Maryam-20: Kealat annea yakoonu lee guleamun va lam yamsasnee basharun va lam aku baagıyyea(baagıyyan).
(She said): “How can I have a son, as no human being has yet touched me, nor have I been unchaste”? (20)
19/Maryam-21: Keala kazealik(kazealiki), keala raabbuki huva aalayya hayyin(hayyinun), va li nac’aalahoo eayatan lin neasi va raahmatan minnea, va keana amran maakdıyyea(maakdıyyan).
(The Holy Spirit) said: “Just like that”. Your Lord said: “It is easy to me, and that We will make him a sign (miracle) to mankind and a Mercy from Us”. And it is a matter which has already been decreed. (21)
19/Maryam-22: Fa haamalathu fantabazat bihee makeanan kaasıyyea(kaasıyyan).
So she conceived him. Then withdrew herself with him to a remote place. (22)
19/Maryam-23: Fa aceaa hal maheadoo ilea ciz’ın naahlah(naahlati), kealat yea laytanee mittu kaabla heazea va kuntu nasyan mansiyyea(mansiyyan).
And the pains of childbirth compelled her (to take refuge) to the trunk of a date-palm. (She) said: “Oh, I wish I had died before this, and had been a thing quite forgotten”. (23)
19/Maryam-24: Fa neadeahea min taahtihea allea taahzanee kaad caaala raabbuki taahtaki sariyyea(sariyyan).
Then a call out to her from below her came: “Do not grieve; surely your Lord has made a stream to flow under you”. (24)
19/Maryam-25: Va huzzee ilayki bi ciz’ın naahlati tuseakıt aalayki rutaaban caniyyea(caniyyan).
And shake the trunk of date-palm towards you; it will drop on you fresh ripe-dates. (25)
19/Maryam-26: Fa kulee vashraabee va kaarree aaynea(aaynan), fa immea taraayinna minal bashari ahaadan fa koolee innee nazartu lir raahmeani saavman fa lan ukallimal yavma insiyyea(insiyyan).
So eat and drink and be contented! Then if you see anybody, say: “Surely I have vowed a fast (not to talk) to the Most-Beneficent, so I shall not speak to anyone today”. (26)
19/Maryam-27: Fa atat bihee kaavmahea taahmiluh(taahmiluhu), kealoo yea maryamu lakaad ci’ti shay’an fariyyea(fariyyan).
And she came to her people carrying him. (Her people) said: “O Mary! Surely you have done a strange (bad) thing”. (27)
19/Maryam-28: Yea uhta hearoona mea keana abookimraaa sav’in va mea keanat ummuki bagıyyea(bagıyyan).
O sister of Aaron! Your father was not a wicked man, nor was your mother an unchaste woman. (28)
19/Maryam-29: Fa ashearat ilayh(ilayhi), kealoo kayfa nukallimu man keana feel mahdi saabiyyea(saabiyyan).
Then she pointed to him (baby). (They) said: “How should we speak to one who is a baby in the cradle”? (29)
19/Maryam-30: Keala innee aabdulleah(aabdulleahi), eateaniyal kiteaba va caaalanee nabiyyea(nabiyyan).
(Baby) said: “Surely I am a servant of Allah. He has given me the Book and made me a prophet”. (30)
19/Maryam-31: Va caaalanee mubearakan ayna mea kuntu va avseanee bis saaleati vaz zakeati mea dumtu haayyea(haayyan).
And He has made me blessed wherever I may be, and He has enjoined on me the Prayer (As-Salât) and the alms giving (Az-Zakât) so long as I live. (31)
19/Maryam-32: Va barran bi vealidatee va lam yac’aalnee cabbearan shaakıyyea(shaakıyyan).
And He has commanded me to be the owner of Birr to my mother and He has not made me an insolent ungrateful. (32)
19/Maryam-33: Vas saleamu aalayya yavma vulidtu va yavma amootu va yavma ub’aasu haayyea(haayyan).
And peace be upon me on the day I was born, and on the day I die, and on the Day I am raised up to life alive. (33)
19/Maryam-34: Zealika eesabnu maryam(maryama), kaavlal haakkıllazee feehi yamtaroon(yamtaroona).
Such is Jesus, son of Mary. (He) is the Word of the Truth (Hakk) about which they doubt. (34)
19/Maryam-35: Mea keana lilleahi an yattahıza min valadin subheanah(subheanahu), izea kaadea amran fa innamea yakoolu lahu kun fa yakoon(yakoonu).
It does not beseem Allah that He should take a son. Glory be to Him! When He decrees a matter, He only says to it “Be”, and it is. (35)
19/Maryam-36: Va innaalleaha raabbee va raabbukum faa’budooh(faa’budoohu), heazea sıreatun mustakeem(mustakeemun).
And surely Allah is my Lord and your Lord (as well), therefore become servants to Him! This is Sıratı Mustakîm (The Path directed towards Allah). (36)
19/Maryam-37: Faahtalafal aahzeabu min baynihim, fa vaylun lillazeena kafaroo min mashhadi yavmin aazeem(aazeemin).
After that the sects from among themselves differed. So, woe to those who disbelieve when a great Day will be witnessed. (37)
19/Maryam-38: Asmi’ bihim va absır yavma ya’toonanea leakiniz zealimoonal yavma fee daalealin mubeen(mubeenin).
How clearly We shall let them hear and see (How many a thing they will be made to hear and to see) on the Day when they will come to Us. But the wrong-doers this Day (still) are in a manifest Misguidance. (38)
19/Maryam-39: Va anzirhum yavmal haasrati iz kudıyal amr(amru), va hum fee gaaflatin va hum lea yu’minoon(yu’minoona).
And warn them of the Day of longing, when the matter shall have been fulfilled; and they are in heedlessness and they do not believe. (39)
19/Maryam-40: Innea naahnu narisul aardaa va man aalayhea va ilaynea yurcaoon(yurcaoona).
Surely We shall inherit the earth and all those who are on it, and to Us they shall be returned. (40)
19/Maryam-41: Vazkur feel kiteabi ibreaheem(ibreaheema), innahu keana sıddeekaan nabiyyea(nabiyyan).
And mention in the Book Abraham. Surely he was a truthful Prophet (who gave lots of alms, was loyal, and always told the truth). (41)
19/Maryam-42: Iz keala li abeehi, yea abati lima taa’budu mea lea yasmaau va lea yubsıru va lea yugnee aanka shay’ea(shay’an).
(Abraham) said to his father: “O my father! Why do you worship what neither hears nor sees, nor does it avail you in the least”? (42)
19/Maryam-43: Yea abati innee kaad ceaanee minal ilmi mea lam ya’tika fattabi’nee ahdika sıreataan saviyyea(saviyyan).
O my father! Verily there has come to me of the Knowledge that which did not come to you! So depend on me, I shall guide you to Sıratı Seviye (the Smooth Path that delivers to Allah). (43)
19/Maryam-44: Yea abati lea taa’budish shaytean(shayteana), innash shayteana keana lir raahmeani aasıyyea(aasıyyan).
O my father! Do not do not be a servant to Satan! Surely Satan turned rebellious against the Most-Beneficent. (44)
19/Maryam-45: Yea abati innee aheafu an yamassaka aazeabun minar raahmeani fa takoona lish shayteani valiyyea(valiyyan).
O my father! Surely I fear lest a torment from the Most-Beneficent should touch you! In such case you should become a friend of Satan. (45)
19/Maryam-46: Keala a reagıbun anta aan ealihatee yea ibreaheem(ibreaheemu), lain lam tantahi la arcumannaka vahcurnee maliyyea(maliyyan).
(His father) said: “O Abraham! Do you not value my gods? If you do not desist (from this), I will certainly stone you, and depart from me a long while. (46)
19/Maryam-47: Keala saleamun aalayk(aalayka), sa astaagfiru laka raabbee, innahu keana bee haafiyyea(haafiyyan).
(He) said: “Peace be on you! I will ask forgiveness of my Lord for you. Surely He is Ever Most Gracious unto me”. (47)
19/Maryam-48: Va aa’tazilukum va mea tad’oona min doonilleahi va ad’oo raabbee, aasea allea akoona bi dueai raabbee shaakıyyea(shaakıyyan).
And I am withdrawing from you and what you call on besides Allah, and I am calling upon my Lord. Maybe I shall not remain ungrateful in calling upon my Lord. (48)
19/Maryam-49: Fa lammea’tazalahum va mea yaa’budoona min doonilleahi vahabnea lahoo isheakaa va yaa’koob(yaa’kooba) va kullan caaalnea nabiyyea(nabiyyan).
So when he withdrew from them and what they served besides Allah, We bestowed on him Isaac and Jacob and each one of them We made a Prophet. (49)
19/Maryam-50: Va vahabnea lahum min raahmatinea va caaalnea lahum liseana sıdkın aaliyyea(aaliyyan).
And We granted to them of Our Mercy; and We made them (Abraham and his sons) truthful and exalted on (all) the tongues. (50)
19/Maryam-51: Vazkur feel kiteabi moosea, innahu keana muhlasaan va keana rasoolan nabiyyea(nabiyyan).
And mention in the Book Moses. Surely he was one utterly purified, and he was a Messenger Prophet. (51)
19/Maryam-52: Va neadayneahu min ceanibit tooril aymani va kaarrabneahu naciyyea(naciyyan).
And We called to him from the right side of Tur (Sinai) and draw him near to Us, so that We could converse with (reveal to) him. (52)
19/Maryam-53: Va vahabnea lahu min raahmatinea aheahu hearoona nabiyyea(nabiyyan).
And We granted him his brother Aaron as a Prophet, out of Our Mercy. (53)
19/Maryam-54: Vazkur feel kiteabi ismeaeela innahu keana seadıkaal vaa’di va keana rasoolan nabiyyea(nabiyyan).
And mention Ishmael in the Book (as well). Because he was truthful to his promise, and he was a Prophet Messenger. (54)
19/Maryam-55: Va keana ya’muru ahlahu bis saaleati vaz zakeati va keana inda raabbihee maardıyyea(maardıyyan).
And he was enjoining on his family (people) the Prayer and the alms giving (Az-Zakât) and was one who was Well-Pleased with in the presence of his Lord. (55)
19/Maryam-56: Vazkur feel kiteabi idreesa innahu keana sıddeekaan nabiyyea(nabiyyan).
And mention in the Book Idrîs (Enoch). Surely he was a loyal Prophet. (56)
19/Maryam-57: Va rafaa’neahu makeanan aaliyyea(aaliyyan).
And We raised him to a High Station (to Heaven). (57)
19/Maryam-58: Uleaikallazeena an’aamaalleahu aalayhim minan nabiyyeena min zurriyyati eadama va mimman haamalnea maaa noohin va min zurriyyati ibreaheema va isreaeela va mimman hadaynea vactabaynea, izea tutlea aalayhim eayeatur raahmeani haarroo succadan va bukiyyea(bukiyyan).
These are those on whom Allah has bestowed Blessings, from among the prophets. They are of the offspring of Adam, and of those whom We carried with Noah, and of the offspring of Abraham and Israel, and from among those We delivered to Hidayet and chose. When the Verses of the Most Beneficent were recited to them, they would fall down in prostration and weep. (58)
19/Maryam-59: Fa haalafa min baa’dihim haalfun adeaus saaleata vattabaoosh shahaveati fa savfa yalkaavna gaayyea(gaayyan).
However, the generation came after them neglected the prayer and followed their lusts (sensual desires), so they will soon meet with “Gayy” (the lowest part of Hell). (59)
19/Maryam-60: Illea man teaba va eamana va aamila sealihaan fa uleaika yadhuloonal cannata va lea yuzlamoona shay’ea(shay’an).
Except those who repent, become âmenû (who wish to reach Allah before death) and do improving deeds (the soul’s cleansing). These shall enter Heaven and they will not be wronged in the least. (60)
19/Maryam-61: Canneati aadninillatee vaaaadar raahmeanu ibeadahu bil gaayb(gaaybi), innahu keana vaa’duhu ma’tiyyea(ma’tiyyan).
The Gardens of Eden which the Most Beneficent has promised to His servants while Unseen. Surely that (The Gardens of Eden) is His promise, shall be fulfilled. (61)
19/Maryam-62: Lea yasmaoona feehea laagvan illea saleamea(saleaman), va lahum rızkuhum feehea bukratan va aashiyyea(aashiyyan).
They shall not hear therein any nonsense, but only “Peace”, and there is their sustenance morning and evening. (62)
19/Maryam-63: Tilkal cannatullatee noorisu min ibeadinea man keana taakıyyea(taakıyyan).
This is Heaven which We shall give as an inheritance to those of Our servants who have been Al-Muttaqûn (the owners of piety, Takwâ). (63)
19/Maryam-64: Va mea natanazzalu illea bi amri raabbik(raabbika), lahu mea bayna aydeenea va mea haalfanea va mea bayna zealik(zealika), va mea keana raabbuka nasiyyea(nasiyyan).
And we (the angel messengers) do not descend except by the Command of your Lord; to Him belongs whatever is before us and whatever is behind us and whatever is between these, and your Lord is never forgetful (of you). (64)
19/Maryam-65: Raabbus sameaveati val aardı va mea baynahumea faa’budhu vaastaabir li ibeadatih(ibeadatihee), hal taa’lamu lahu samiyyea(samiyyan).
Lord of the heavens and the earth, and all that is between them. So become a servant to Him! And be patient in His servant-hood! Do you know any (one) that is named with His name? (65)
And human says: “Shall I truly be brought forth alive when I am dead”? (66)
19/Maryam-67: A va lea yazkurul inseanu annea haalaakneahu min kaablu va lam yaku shay’ea(shay’an).
Does not human think that how We created him before, when he was nothing? (67)
So by your Lord, We will also most certainly gather them and the satans together. Then shall We certainly cause them to be present round Hell on their knees. (68)
19/Maryam-69: Summa la nanziaanna min kulli sheeaatin ayyuhum ashaddu aalar raahmeani ıtiyyea(ıtiyyan).
Then We will surely extract from every group those of them who were the most rebellious against the Most Beneficent. (69)
19/Maryam-70: Summa la naahnu aa’lamu billazeena hum avlea bihea sıliyyea(sıliyyan).
Then, We do certainly know best those who deserve most to be exposed to it (Hell). (70)
19/Maryam-71: Va in minkum illea veariduhea, keana aalea raabbika haatman maakdıyyea(maakdıyyan).
And there is not one of you but shall arrive to it (hell). This is an absolute decree on your Lord. (71)
19/Maryam-72: Summa nunacceellazeenattakaav va nazaruz zealimeena feehea cisiyyea(cisiyyan).
Then We will deliver those who have piety and We will leave the wrong-doers on their knees. (72)
19/Maryam-73: Va izea tutlea aalayhim eayeatunea bayyineatin kealallazeena kafaroo lillazeena eamanoo ayyul fareekaayni haayrun maakeaman va aahsanu nadiyyea(nadiyyan).
And when Our Verses were recited and explained to them, those who disbelieve said to those who believe: “Which of the two parties is more advantageous in station and best in assembly”? (73)
19/Maryam-74: Va kam ahlaknea kaablahum min kaarnin hum aahsanu aseasan va ri’yea(ri’yan).
And how many of the generations have We destroyed before them who were better in respect of goods and outward appearance! (74)
19/Maryam-75: Kul man keana feed daalealati fal yamdud lahur raahmeanu maddea(maddan), haattea izea raaav mea yooaadoona immal aazeaba va immas seaaah(seaaata), fa sa yaa’lamoona man huva sharrun makeanan va aad’aafu cundea(cundan).
Say: “Whoever remains in Misguidance, the Most Beneficent will surely prolong his length of days, until they see what they were promised with, either the torment or the Hour (Doomsday)”. Then they shall know who is more in evil plight and weaker in aid. (75)
19/Maryam-76: Va yazeedulleahullazeenahtadav hudea(hudan), val beakıyeatus sealiheatu haayrun inda raabbika saveaban va haayrun maraddea(maraddan).
And Allah increases the Hidayet those who are in Hidayet. And the ever lasting improving deeds are with your Lord best in recompense and best in return (as well). (76)
Have you, then, seen the one who disbelieves in Our Verses and says: “I shall certainly be given wealth and children”? (77)
19/Maryam-78: Attaalaaaal gaayba amittahaaza indar raahmeani aahdea(aahdan).
Has he gained the knowledge of the Unseen or has he made a covenant in the presence of the Most Beneficent? (78)
19/Maryam-79: Kallea, sa naktubu mea yakoolu va namuddu lahu minal aazeabi maddea(maddan).
By no means! We shall write down what he says and We will lengthen to him the length of the torment. (79)
19/Maryam-80: Va narisuhu mea yakoolu va ya’teenea fardea(fardan).
And We will inherit the things what he says, and he shall come to Us alone (without wealth or children). (80)
19/Maryam-81: Vattahaazoo min doonilleahi ealihatan li yakoonoo lahum ızzea(ızzan).
And they (idol worshippers) have taken gods besides Allah that they should be to them a source of honor. (81)
By no means! They (idols) shall soon deny their worshipping them, and they shall be adversaries to them. (82)
19/Maryam-83: A lam tara annea arsalnash shayeateena aalal keafireena tauzzuhum azzea(azzan).
Do you not see how We send the satans upon the disbelievers, inciting them by incitement? (83)
19/Maryam-84: Fa lea taa’cal aalayhim, innamea nauddu lahum aaddea(aaddan).
Therefore be not in haste against them. We only count out to them numbers (of days). (84)
19/Maryam-85: Yavma naahshurul muttakeena ilar raahmeani vafdea(vafdan).
On that Day We shall gather the owners of piety to the Most Beneficent with honor and offerings. (85)
19/Maryam-86: Va nasookul mucrimeena ilea cahannama virdea(virdan).
And We shall drive the guilty to Hell thirsty. (86)
19/Maryam-87: Lea yamlikoonash shafeaaata illea manittahaaza indar raahmeani aahdea(aahdan).
None may have the intercession except the one who has taken a covenant from the Most Beneficent. (87)
19/Maryam-88: Va kealuttahaazar raahmeanu valadea(valadan).
And they said: “The Most Beneficent has taken a son”. (88)
19/Maryam-89: Lakaad ci’tum shay’an iddea(iddan).
Certainly you have made (said) an awful thing. (89)
19/Maryam-90: Takeadus sameaveatu yatafaattaarna minhu va tanshaakkul aardu va tahırrul cibealu haddea(haddan).
The heavens would almost rupture therefrom and the earth would split open and the mountains would collapse in devastation. (90)
19/Maryam-91: An daaav lir raahmeani valadea(valadan).
That they ascribed a son to the Most Beneficent. (91)
19/Maryam-92: Va mea yanbaagee lir raahmeani an yattahıza valadea(valadan).
And it is not suitable for the Most Beneficent that He should take a son. (92)
19/Maryam-93: In kullu man fees sameaveati val aardı illea eatir raahmeani aabdea(aabdan).
There is none in the heavens and the earth but shall come to the Most Beneficent as a servant. (93)
19/Maryam-94: Lakaad aahseahum va aaddahum aaddea(aaddan).
He has enumerated them and counted them a full counting individually. (94)
19/Maryam-95: Va kulluhum eateehi yavmal kıyeamati fardea(fardan).
And every one of them will come to Him on the Day of Resurrection alone. (95)
19/Maryam-96: Innallazeena eamanoo va aamilus sealiheati sa yac’aalu lahumur raahmeanu vuddea(vuddan).
Surely those who believe (become âmenû, who wish to reach Allah before death) and do improving deeds (the soul’s cleansing), Allah will make them those who are loved. (96)
19/Maryam-97: Fa innamea yassarneahu bi liseanika li tubashshira bihil muttakeena va tunzira bihee kaavman luddea(luddan).
So We have only made it (the Qur’ân) easy in your tongue that you may give glad tidings thereby to the owners of piety and warn thereby a vehemently contentious people. (97)
19/Maryam-98: Va kam ahlaknea kaablahum min kaarn(kaarnin), hal tuhıssu minhum min ahaadin av tasmau lahum rikzea(rikzan).
And how many a generation have We destroyed before them? Do you see any one of them or hear even a whisper of them? (98)
