Surah Al-Hijr

Bismillaah ir rahmaan ir raheem

15/Al-Hijr-1: Alif leam rea tilka eayeatul kiteabi va kur’eanin mubeen(mubeenin).
Alif-Lâm-Râ. These are Verses of the Book and a clear Qur’ân. (1)
15/Al-Hijr-2: Rubamea yavaddullazeena kafaroo lav keanoo muslimeen(muslimeena).
Most likely; those who disbelieve will wish that ‘they had been Muslims (submitters to Allah)’. (2)
15/Al-Hijr-3: Zarhum ya’kuloo va yatamattaoo va yulhihimul amalu fa savfa yaa’lamoon(yaa’lamoona).
Leave them! They may eat, enjoy themselves and hope entices them (keeps them busy). But soon they will come to know! (3)
15/Al-Hijr-4: Va mea ahlaknea min kaaryatin illea va lahea kiteabun maa’loom(maa’loomun).
And never did We destroy a country but there was a known Book for it. (4)
And they said: “O you to whom the Zikir (Remembrance) has been sent down! You are most surely insane”. (6)
15/Al-Hijr-7: Lav mea ta’teenea bil maleaikati in kunta minaas seadıkeen(seadıkeena).
Should you not bring to us the angels if you are of the truthful ones? (7)
15/Al-Hijr-8: Mea nunazzilul maleaikata illea bil haakkı va mea keanoo izan munzaareen(munzaareena).
We do not send the angels down except with the truth. Then they would not be given time either. (8)
Surely, We sent down the Zikir (the Qur’ân) and We are surely its Guardian (as well). (9)
And certainly We sent (Messengers) before you among the previous communities. (10)
15/Al-Hijr-11: Va mea ya’teehim min rasoolin illea keanoo bihee yastahzioon(yastahzioona).
There never came a Messenger to them except they mocked at them. (11)
15/Al-Hijr-12: Kazealika naslukuhu fee kuloobil mucrimeen(mucrimeena).
Thus do We make it (mocking) to enter into the hearts of the guilty. (12)
15/Al-Hijr-13: Lea yu’minoona bihee va kaad haalat sunnatul avvaleen(avvaleena).
Even though the Sunna (Practice) of the former people has already passed, they do not believe in him (Messenger). (13)
15/Al-Hijr-14: Va lav fataahnea aalayhim beaban minas sameai fa zaalloo feehi yaa’rucoon(yaa’rucoona).
And even if We open to them a gateway from the heaven so that they ascend into it. (14)
15/Al-Hijr-15: La kealoo innamea sukkirat absearunea bal naahnu kaavmun mashooroon(mashooroona).
They would certainly say: “Only our eyes have been covered over (dazzled so we cannot see the reality), rather, we are an enchanted people”. (15)
And We have placed within the heaven great stars and have beautified it for the observers. (16)
15/Al-Hijr-17: Va haafızneahea min kulli shayteanin raceem(raceemin).
And We have guarded it from every stoned (outcast) Satan. (17)
15/Al-Hijr-18: Illea manistaraakaas sam’aa fa atbaaahu shiheabun mubeen(mubeenun).
Yet whoever listened by stealth (tried to steal the information of the Unseen), then a visible flaming fire pursued him. (18)
15/Al-Hijr-19: Val aardaa madadneahea va alkaaynea feehea raveasiya va anbatnea feehea min kulli shay’in mavzoon(mavzoonin).
And the earth; We have spread it out, and made in it big mountains and caused to grow in it of every well-proportioned vegetation. (19)
15/Al-Hijr-20: Va caaalnea lakum feehea maeayisha va man lastum lahu bi reazıkeen(reazıkeena).
And We have made in it means of subsistence for you and for those for whom you are not the suppliers. (20)
15/Al-Hijr-21: Va in min shay’in illea indanea haazeainuhu va mea nunazziluhoo illea bi kaadarin maa’loom(maa’loomin).
And there is not a thing but with Us are the treasures of it. We do send it down but in a known destiny (in a known foreordained measure). (21)
15/Al-Hijr-22: Va arsalnar riyeahaa laveakıhaa fa anzalnea minas sameai meaan fa askaayneakumooh(askaayneakumoohu), va mea antum lahu bi heazineen(heazineena).
And We sent the winds loaded (with water). So We sent down water from the sky, and watered you with it. And it is not you who are the creators of its treasures (the seas, the rivers, the underground and ground spring waters, the lakes). (22)
And certainly, We! Only We give life. And We cause death. And We are the Inheritors. (23)
And certainly We know those who have gone before you. And We certainly know those who shall come after you as well. (24)
15/Al-Hijr-25: Va inna raabbaka huva yaahshuruhum, innahu haakeemun aaleem(aaleemun).
And surely your Lord, He gathers them together (in His presence). Surely, He is All-Wise, All-Knowing. (25)
And certainly We created human from (Hamein Mesnûn Salsâlin) dried clay of altered mud (from clay that has undergone an organic transformation and has been given a standard shape of a human being). (26)
15/Al-Hijr-27: Val ceanna haalaakneahu min kaablu min nearis samoom(samoomi).
And the jinn; We created earlier from intensely hot fire (Semûm). (27)
15/Al-Hijr-28: Va iz keala raabbuka lil maleaikati innee healikun basharan min saalsealin min haamain masnoon(masnoonin).
And your Lord had said to the angels: “Surely I am going to create from (Hamein Mesnûn Salsâlin) dried clay of altered mud (from clay that has undergone an organic transformation and has been given a standard shape of a human being) a mortal (human being).” (28)
15/Al-Hijr-29: Fa izea savvaytuhu va nafaahtu feehi min roohee fakaaoo lahu seacideen(seacideena).
So when I have made him complete and breathed into him of My Spirit, immediately fall down prostrating yourselves before him! (29)
15/Al-Hijr-30: Fa sacadal maleaikatu kulluhum acmaaoon(acmaaoona).
So the angels prostrated themselves altogether. (30)
15/Al-Hijr-31: Illea iblees(ibleesa), abea an yakoona maaas seacideen(seacideena).
Except Iblîs (Satan). (He) refused to be with the ones who prostrated. (31)
15/Al-Hijr-32: Keala yea ibleesu mea laka allea takoona maaas seacideen(seacideena).
Allah said: “O Iblîs (Satan)! What is your reason for not being with the ones who prostrated?” (32)
15/Al-Hijr-33: Keala lam akun li ascuda li basharin haalaaktahu min saalsealin min haamain masnoon(masnoonin).
(Iblîs) said: “I am not the one to prostrate myself to a human being (a mortal), whom You created from (Hamein Mesnûn Salsâlin) dried clay of altered mud (from clay that has undergone an organic transformation and has been given a standard shape of a human being).” (33)
15/Al-Hijr-34: Keala faahruc minhea fa innaka raceem(raceemun).
(Allah) said: “Get out of there right away! Surely you are dismissed for this reason.” (34)
15/Al-Hijr-35: Va inna aalaykal lea’nata ilea yavmid deen(deeni).
And surely on you is the Curse until the Day of Religion (the Day of Recompense). (35)
15/Al-Hijr-36: Keala raabbi fa anzırnee ilea yavmi yub’aasoon(yub’aasoona).
(Iblîs) said: “My Lord! Then respite me till a Day when they will be resurrected.” (36)
15/Al-Hijr-37: Keala fa innaka minal munzaareen(munzaareena).
(Allah) said: “Surely you are of the ones who is given time.” (37)
15/Al-Hijr-38: Ilea yavmil vaaktil maa’loom(maa’loomi).
Until the Day of the time well-known. (38)
(Satan) said: “My Lord! Because you exacerbated me, I will certainly make (exacerbation) fair-seeming to them on earth and I will certainly exacerbate them.” (39)
15/Al-Hijr-40: Illea ıbeadaka minhumul muhlaaseen(muhlaaseena).
Except Your servants from among them who are utterly pure. (40)
15/Al-Hijr-41: Keala heazea sıreatun aalayya mustakeem(mustakeemun).
Allah Said: “This is the Path directed towards Me (that leads to Me).” (41)
15/Al-Hijr-42: Inna ıbeadee laysa laka aalayhim sulteanun illea manittabaaaka minal geaveen(geaveena).
Certainly, you shall have no authority over My servants, except those who depend on you of those whom you exacerbated. (42)
And surely Hell is the promised place of them all. (43)
15/Al-Hijr-44: Lahea sab’aatu abveab(abveabin), likulli beabin minhum cuz’un maaksoom(maaksoomun).
It (Hell) has seven gates. For every gate there shall be a separate party of them. (44)
15/Al-Hijr-45: Innal muttakeena fee canneatin va uyoon(uyoonin).
Surely the owners of piety (Muttaqûn) will be in the midst of Gardens and water-springs. (45)
15/Al-Hijr-46: Udhuloohea bi saleamin eamineen(eamineena).
Enter there (Heaven) with greetings, being secure. (46)
15/Al-Hijr-47: Va nazaa’nea mea fee sudoorihim min gıllin ıhveanan aalea sururin mutakeabileen(mutakeabileena).
And We rooted out whatever of grudge is in their bosoms. They are on thrones, face to face being brothers. (47)
15/Al-Hijr-48: Lea yamassuhum feehea naasaabun va mea hum minhea bi muhraceen(muhraceena).
No fatigue shall touch them there. And they shall not be ever expelled from it. (48)
15/Al-Hijr-49: Nabbee’ ibeadee annee anal gaafoorur raaheem(raaheemu).
Inform My servants! Truly, I am the Oft-Forgiving, the Most Merciful (the One who sends down the Light of Mercy). (49)
15/Al-Hijr-50: Va anna aazeabee huval aazeabul aleem(aleemu).
And that My torment is indeed a painful torment. (50)
15/Al-Hijr-51: Va nabbi’hum aan daayfi ibreaheem(ibreaheema).
And inform them of the guests of Abraham. (51)
15/Al-Hijr-52: Iz dahaaloo aalayhi fa kealoo saleamea(saleaman), keala innea minkum vaciloon(vaciloona).
When they entered upon him, they said: “Peace (be upon you)”. (Abraham) said: “Surely We feel afraid of you.” (52)
15/Al-Hijr-53: Kealoo lea tavcal innea nubashshiruka bi guleamin aaleem(aaleemin).
(The guests) said: “(You) do not be afraid! Surely we give you the glad tidings of a son endowed with knowledge.” (53)
15/Al-Hijr-54: Keala a bashshartumoonee aalea an massaniyal kibaru fa bima tubashshiroon(tubashshiroona).
He said: “Do you give me good news when old age has come upon me? What then do you give me good news of?” (54)
15/Al-Hijr-55: Kealoo bashsharneaka bil haakkı fa lea takun minal keanıteen(keanıteena).
They said: “We gave you glad tidings with truth. Therefore do not be of the despairing.” (55)
15/Al-Hijr-56: Keala va man yaaknatu min raahmati raabbihee illaad dealloon(dealloona).
He said: “And who despairs of the Mercy of his Lord except those who are in Misguidance?” (56)
15/Al-Hijr-57: Keala fa mea haatbukum ayyuhal mursaloon(mursaloona).
He said: “What is the matter then of which you will speak, O Messengers?” (57)
15/Al-Hijr-58: Kealoo innea ursilnea ilea kaavmin mucrimeen(mucrimeena).
They said: “Surely We have been sent to a guilty people.” (58)
15/Al-Hijr-59: Illea eala loot(lootın), innea la munaccoohum acmaa’een(acmaa’eena).
Except the family of Lot; We will most surely deliver them all. (59)
15/Al-Hijr-60: Illamra’atahu kaaddarnea innahea la minal geabireen(geabireena).
Except his wife. Because We have decreed that she shall be of those who remain behind (destroyed). (60)
15/Al-Hijr-61: Fa lammea ceaa eala lootınil mursaloon(mursaloona).
So when the sent messengers came to the family of Lot. (61)
15/Al-Hijr-62: Keala innakum kaavmun munkaroon(munkaroona).
(Lot) said: “Surely you are an unknown (foreign) people.” (62)
15/Al-Hijr-63: Kealoo bal ci’neaka bi mea keanoo feehi yamtaroon(yamtaroona).
They said: “Nay, we have come to you with what they have been doubtful.” (63)
And we have brought to you the truth, and we are most surely truthful. (64)
15/Al-Hijr-65: Fa asri bi ahlika bi kıt’ın minal layli vattabı’ adbearahum va lea yaltafit minkum ahaadun vaamdoo haaysu tu’maroon(tu’maroona).
Right away go forth with your family in a part of the night! Follow their rear, and let not anyone of you turn round to look back. And go on to where you are commanded. (65)
15/Al-Hijr-66: Va kaadaaynea ilayhi zealikal amra anna deabira heauleai maaktooun musbiheen(musbiheena).
And We made known this decree to him, that the root of them would be cut off in the early morning (they would be destroyed). (66)
15/Al-Hijr-67: Va ceaa ahlul madeenati yastabshiroon(yastabshiroona).
And the inhabitants of the city came giving good news to each other. (67)
15/Al-Hijr-68: Keala inna heauleai daayfee fa lea tafdaahoon(tafdaahooni).
(Lot) said: “Surely these are my guests; therefore do not disgrace me.” (68)
15/Al-Hijr-69: Vattakulleaha va lea tuhzoon(tuhzooni).
Have fear and piety towards Allah and do not degrade me. (69)
15/Al-Hijr-70: Kealoo a va lam nanhaka aanil ealameen(ealameena).
They said: “Did we not forbid you from interfering (other) people’s business?” (70)
15/Al-Hijr-71: Keala heauleai baneatee in kuntum feaileen(feaileena).
(Lot) said: “These are my daughters, if you will do what you are thinking.” (71)
15/Al-Hijr-72: La aamruka innahum la fee sakratihim yaa’mahoon(yaa’mahoona).
Assuredly, by your life! They were blindly wandering on in their intoxication. (72)
15/Al-Hijr-73: Fa ahaazathumus saayhaatu mushrikeen(mushrikeena).
So a Sayha (terrible sound wave) overtook them (those who were there at sunrise). (73)
15/Al-Hijr-74: Fa caaalnea ealiyahea seafilahea va amtarnea aalayhim hıcearatan min sicceel(sicceelin).
Thus did We turn it (the city) upside down, and rained down upon them (fatal) stones of baked clay. (74)
15/Al-Hijr-75: Inna fee zealika la eayeatin lil mutavassimeen (mutavassimeena).
Surely in this are Signs for those who examine to learn. (75)
15/Al-Hijr-76: Va innahea la bi sabeelin mukeem(mukeemeen).
And surely it still remains on a way. (76)
15/Al-Hijr-77: Inna fee zealika la eayatan lil mu’mineen(mu’mineena).
Most surely there are Signs in this for the believers (those whose souls’ hearts is written Faith in them). (77)
15/Al-Hijr-78: Va in keana aasheabul aykati la zealimeen (zealimeena).
And the Dwellers of the Thicket (Al-Ayka) also were most surely wrong-doers. (78)
So, We took vengeance on them too and they are both, indeed, a clear guide (a lesson to be learnt for the following generations). (79)
And the Dwellers of Hijr certainly belied the sent Messengers. (80)
15/Al-Hijr-81: Va eatayneahum eayeatinea fa keanoo aanhea mu’rıdeen(mu’rıdeena).
And We gave them Our Verses (miracles, proofs), but they turned aside from them. (81)
15/Al-Hijr-82: Va keanoo yaanhıtoona minal cibeali buyootan eamineen(eamineena).
And they used to carve out safe houses in the mountains. (82)
15/Al-Hijr-83: Fa ahaazathumus saayhaatu musbıheen(musbıheena).
So the Sayha (awful cry) overtook those who made to the morning. (83)
15/Al-Hijr-84: Fa mea aagnea aanhum mea keanoo yaksiboon(yaksiboona).
And what they earned did not avail them. (84)
We did not create the heavens and the earth and what is between them except with the truth. And the Hour (Doomsday) will most surely come. So turn away from them with graciousness. (85)
15/Al-Hijr-86: Inna raabbaka huval haalleakul aaleem(aaleemu).
Surely your Lord is the Creator of all things and the All-Knowing. (86)
And certainly We have given you seven from the second (sevenfold, as sevenfold) and the Grand Qur’ân. (87)
15/Al-Hijr-88: Lea tamuddanna aaynayka ilea mea mattaa’nea bihee azveacan minhum va lea taahzan aalayhim vaahfıd caneahaaka lil mu’mineen(mu’mineena).
Do not extend your eyes what We have given some of them as provision in pairs (abundantly), nor grieve over them. And lower your wings for (those whose souls’ hearts is written Faith in them) the believers (guard them, be humble). (88)
15/Al-Hijr-89: Va kul innee anan nazeerul mubeen(mubeenu).
And say: “Surely I am a plain Warner (who explains)”. (89)
15/Al-Hijr-90: Ka mea anzalnea aalal muktasimeen(muktasimeena).
Like as We have sent down on the dividers (in parts). (90)
15/Al-Hijr-91: Allazeena caaalool kur’eana ıdeen(ıdeena).
They made the Qur’ân into parts. (91)
So, by your Lord, We shall surely question them altogether. (92)
15/Al-Hijr-94: Faasdaa’ bi mea tu’maru va aa’rıd aanil mushrikeen(mushrikeena).
So proclaim openly what you are commanded, and turn away from those who associate. (94)
15/Al-Hijr-95: Innea kafayneakal mustahzieen(mustahzieena).
Surely We will suffice you against the mockers. (95)
Surely We know that your breast is straitened at what they say. (97)
15/Al-Hijr-98: Fa sabbih bi haamdi raabbika va kun minas seacideen(seacideena).
Therefore glorify your Lord with His praise, and be of those who prostrate themselves. (98)
15/Al-Hijr-99: Vaa’bud raabbaka haattea ya’tiyakal yaakeen(yaakeenu).
And be a servant to Allah until what is certain (Hakk'ul yakîn, the last certainty, the Certainty of Allah when you become a slave to Him) comes to you. (99)
