Surah An-Naml

Bismillaah ir rahmaan ir raheem

27/An-Naml-1: Tea seen, tilka eayeatul kur’eani va kiteabin mubeen(mubeenin).
Tâ-Sîn. These are the Verses of the Qur’ân which is a manifest Book. (1)
27/An-Naml-2: Hudan va bushrea lil mu’mineen(mu’mineena).
A means to deliver to Hidayet and glad tidings for the believers. (2)
27/An-Naml-3: Allazeena yukeemoonas saaleata va yu’toonaz zakeata va hum bil eahırati hum yookınoon(yookınoona).
Who keep up the Prayer and give alms (Az-Zakât) and they are certain to believe in the Hereafter. (3)
27/An-Naml-4: Innallazeena lea yu’minoona bil eahirati zayyannea lahum aa’mealahum fa hum yaa’mahoon(yaa’mahoona).
As to those who do not believe in the hereafter (spirit’s reaching Allah while one is still living), We have surely made their deeds fair-seeming to them, so that they blindly wander on. (4)
27/An-Naml-5: Uleaikallazeena lahum sooul aazeabi va hum feel eahırati humul aahsaroon(aahsaroona).
They are those for whom there will be an evil torment, and they will be those who will undergo the greatest Loss. (5)
And most surely the Qur’ân is delivered to you from (the Secret Knowledge of) the presence of the All-Wise, All-Knowing. (6)
Moses had said to his family: “Surely I have perceived a fire; I will bring to you from there some news, or I will bring to you a burning firebrand so that you may warm yourselves”. (7)
27/An-Naml-8: Fa lammea ceaahea noodiya an boorika man feen neari va man haavlahea, va subheanaalleahi raabbil ealameen(ealameena).
So when he went to it, he was called: “Blessed is whoever is in (near) the fire and whoever is round about it! And Glory be to Allah, the Lord of the Worlds”! (8)
27/An-Naml-9: Yea moosea innahoo anaalleahul aazeezul haakeem(haakeemu).
O Moses! Surely I am Allah, the All-Mighty, All-Wise (the Owner of Wisdom and Judgment). (9)
27/An-Naml-10: Va alkı aaseak(aaseaka), fa lammea raeahea tahtazzu ka annahea ceannun vallea mudbiran va lam yuaakkıb, yea moosea lea tahaaf innee lea yaheafu ladayyal mursaloon(mursaloona).
“And cast down your staff”! So (upon casting down his staff) when he saw it in motion as if it were a serpent, he turned retreating and did not look back. “O Moses! Fear not; surely the Messengers do not fear in My Presence”. (10)
27/An-Naml-11: Illea man zaalama summa baddala husnan baa’da sooin fa innee gaafoorun raaheem(raaheemun).
Except those who do wrong. But whom ever converts his evil for good (gets his sins converted into merits after repenting before a Murshid), then surely, I am Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful (the One that manifests with His Mercy attribute). (11)
27/An-Naml-12: Va adhıl yadaka fee caybika taahruc baydeaa min gaayri sooin fee tis’ı eayeatin ilea fir’aavna va kaavmih(kaavmihee), innahum keanoo kaavman feasikeen(feasikeena).
And put your hand into your bosom. Take it out immaculate white. This (miracle) is among the nine Signs to Pharaoh and his people. Surely they have become a Fâsiq (transgressing) people. (12)
27/An-Naml-13: Fa lammea ceaathum eayeatunea mubsıraatan kealoo heazea sihrun mubeen(mubeenun).
When Our Verses (Signs, miracles) became visible to them, they said: “This is a manifest magic”. (13)
27/An-Naml-14: Va cahaadoo bihea vastaykaanathea anfusuhum zulman va uluvvea(uluvvan), fanzur kayfa keana eakıbatul mufsideen(mufsideena).
And though they believed in them with certainty, they denied them knowingly and arrogantly, tormenting their souls. Then look, how the end of the mischief-makers was. (14)
27/An-Naml-15: Va lakaad eataynea deavooda va sulaymeana ilmea(ilman), va kealaal haamdu lilleahillazee faaddaalanea aalea kaseerin min ibeadihil mu’mineen(mu’mineena).
And certainly We gave knowledge to David and Solomon, and (they both) said: “All Praise be to Allah, Who has made us to excel many of His believing servants”. (15)
And Solomon inherited David, and he said: “O mankind! We have been taught the language of birds, and we have been given of all things; most surely this is an evident Virtue”. (16)
27/An-Naml-17: Va hushira li sulaymeana cunooduhu minal cinni val insi vat taayrı fa hum yoozaoon(yoozaoona).
And the armies of the jinn and the men and the birds were gathered for Solomon, and they were formed into orders. (17)
27/An-Naml-18: Haattea izea atav aalea veadin namli kealat namlatun yea ayyuhan namludhuloo maseakinakum, lea yaahtımannakum sulaymeanu va cunooduhu va hum lea yash’uroon(yash’uroona).
When they came to the valley of the Ants, an ant said: “O ants! Enter your dwellings lest Solomon and his armies may not crush you, unperceiving”. (18)
27/An-Naml-19: Fa tabassama deahıkan min kaavlihea va keala raabbi avzı’nee an ashkura ni’matakallatee an’aamta aalayya va aalea vealidayya va an aa’mala saalihaan tardeahu va adhılnee bi raahmatika fee ibeadikas sealiheen(sealiheena).
So (Solomon) smiled, amused at her speech and said: “Make me successful in being grateful for Your Blessings which You have bestowed on me and on my parents and in doing improving deeds (in doing the soul’s cleansing) that will please You. And make me enter, by Your Mercy, amongst Your Improved servants. (19)
27/An-Naml-20: Va tafakkaadaat taayraa fa keala mealiya lea araal hudhuda am keana minal geaibeen(geaibeena).
And he reviewed (inspected) the birds, then said: “How is it that I do not see the hoopoe or is it that he is of the disappeared ones”? (20)
I will most certainly torment him with a severe torment, or slaughter him, unless he brings me a plain excuse (reason, proof). (21)
27/An-Naml-22: Fa makasa gaayra baaeedin fa keala ahaattu bi mea lam tuhıt bihee va ci’tuka min sabain bi nabain yaakeen(yaakeenin).
And he (the hoopoe) did not stay (absent) too long, he (came up and) said: “I have grasped (learned) of a thing which you have not grasped and I have brought to you clear news from Sheba (Saba). (22)
27/An-Naml-23: Innee vacadtumraatan tamlikuhum va ootiyat min kulli shay’in va lahea aarshun aazeem(aazeemun).
Surely I found a woman ruling over them and she has been given of all things and she has a mighty throne. (23)
27/An-Naml-24: Vacadtuhea va kaavmahea yascudoona lish shamsi min doonilleahi va zayyana lahümush shayteanu aa’mealahum fa saaddahum aanis sabeeli fa hum lea yahtadoon(yahtadoona).
I found her and her people prostrating themselves before the sun instead of Allah and Satan has made their deeds fair-seeming to them and thus turned them away from the Way (of Allah), therefore they are not on Hidayet. (24)
27/An-Naml-25: Allea yascudoo lilleahillazee yuhriculhaab’a fees sameaveati val aardı va yaa’lamu mea tuhfoona va mea tu’linoon(tu’linoona).
How would they not prostrate themselves before Allah, who brings to light what is hidden in the heavens and the earth, and knows what you conceal and what you make manifest. (25)
27/An-Naml-26: AAlleahu lea ileaha illea huva raabbul aarshil aazeem(aazeemi).
That Allah, He is the Lord of the Supreme Throne. There is no god but He. (26)
27/An-Naml-27: Keala sa nanzuru a saadaakta am kunta minal keazibeen(keazibeena).
(Solomon) said: “We will see whether you have told the truth or whether you are of the liars”. (27)
27/An-Naml-28: Izhab bi kiteabee heazea fa alkıh ilayhim summa tavalla aanhum fanzur meazea yarcioon(yarcioona).
Take this my writing (letter) and throw it down onto them (hand it over to them), then turn away from them and see what (answer) they return. (28)
27/An-Naml-29: Kealat yea ayyuhal malau innee ulkıya ilayya kiteabun kareem(kareemun).
(The Queen of Sheba): “O chieftains! Surely an honorable (valuable) letter has been thrown (delivered) to me. (29)
27/An-Naml-30: Innahu min sulaymeana va innahu bismilleahir raahmeanir raaheem(raaheemi).
Surely it is from Solomon, and surely (starts) is in the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful. (30)
27/An-Naml-31: Allea taa’loo aalayya va’toonee muslimeen(muslimeena).
Exalt not yourselves against me and come to me to be submitted. (31)
27/An-Naml-32: Kealat yea ayyuhal malau aftoonee fee amree, mea kuntu keatıaatan amran haattea tashhadooni.
(The Queen of Sheba) said: “O chieftains! Give me advice respecting my affair. I never decide an affair until you bear witness (you are in my presence and give me advice)”. (32)
27/An-Naml-33: Kealoo naahnu ooloo kuvvatin va ooloo ba’sin shadeedin val amru ilayki fanzuree meazea ta’mureen(ta’mureena).
They said: “We are powerful and possessors of great Prowess (great ability for war) and it is for you to command, so see what you will command”. (33)
27/An-Naml-34: Kealat innal mulooka izea dahaaloo kaaryatan afsadoohea va caaaloo aizzata ahlihea azillah(azillatan), va kazealika yaf’aaloon(yaf’aaloona).
(The Queen of Sheba) said: “Surely the kings, when they enter a country, ruin (overthrow) it, and humiliate its elites. And thus they do. (34)
27/An-Naml-35: Va innee mursilatun ilayhim bi hadiyyatin fa neazıraatun bima yarciul mursaloon(mursaloona).
And surely I am going to send messengers with a present to them, and shall wait to see what the messengers bring back. (35)
27/An-Naml-36: Fa lammea ceaa sulaymeana keala a tumiddoonani bi mealin fa mea eateaniyaalleahu haayrun mimmea eateakum, bal antum bi hadiyyatikum tafraahoon(tafraahoona).
So when (the envoys with the present) came to Solomon, (Solomon) said: “What! Are you helping me with wealth? What Allah has given me is better than what He has given you. Nay, you are exultant (boasting) due to your present. (36)
Go back to them, so we shall most surely come to them with armies which they shall no power to oppose, and we shall most certainly expel them there from in abasement, and they will be humiliated. (37)
27/An-Naml-38: Keala yea ayyuhal malau ayyakum ya’teenee bi aarshihea kaabla an ya’toonee muslimeen(muslimeena).
(Solomon) said: “O chieftains! Which of you will bring to me her throne before they come to me in submission? (38)
27/An-Naml-39: Keala ıfreetun minal cinni ana eateeka bihee kaabla an takooma min maakeamik(maakeamika) va innee aalayhi la kaaviyyun ameen(ameenun).
Ifrît of the jinn said: “I will bring it to you before you rise up from your place. I am strongly certain for it (for realizing it)”. (39)
27/An-Naml-40: Kealallazee indahu ilmun minal kiteabi ana eateeka bihee kaabla an yartadda ilayka taarfuk(taarfuka), fa lammea raeahu mustakırraan indahu keala heazea min faadlı raabbee, li yabluvanee a ashkur am akfur(akfuru), va man shakara fa innamea yashkuru li nafsih(nafsihee) va man kafara fa inna raabbee gaaniyyun kareem(kareemun).
The one who had the knowledge from the Book (Khidr) said: “I will bring it to you before you blink your eye”. Then when (Solomon) saw it set in his presence (before him), he said: “This is a Virtue (blessing) of my Lord that he may try me whether I am grateful or ungrateful”. And whoever is grateful, he is grateful only for his own soul, and whoever is ungrateful, then surely my Lord is Self-Sufficient (Rich, Free of all needs), Honored (the Most Generous). (40)
27/An-Naml-41: Keala nakkiroo lahea aarshahea nanzur a tahtadee am takoonu minallazeena lea yahtadoon(yahtadoona).
(Solomon) said: “Alter her throne that we may see whether she will have Hidayet or whether she will not have Hidayet”. (41)
27/An-Naml-42: Fa lammea ceaat keela a heakazea aarshuk(aarshuki), kealat ka annahu huva va ooteenal ilma min kaablihea va kunnea muslimeen(muslimeena).
So when she came in, it was said (to her): “Was your throne like this”? She said: “It is as though it was it”. And (Solomon said) “we were given the knowledge before it and we became Muslims (submitted to Allah)”. (42)
27/An-Naml-43: Va saaddahea mea keanat taa’budu min doonilleah(doonilleahi), innahea keanat min kaavmin keafireen(keafireena).
And what she worshipped besides Allah prevented her; surely she was of a disbelieving people. (43)
27/An-Naml-44: Keela lahaadhulees saarh(saarhaa), fa lammea raaathu haasibathu luccatan va kashafat aan seakaayhea, keala innahu saarhun mumarraadun min kaaveareer(kaaveareeraa), kealat raabbi innee zaalamtu nafsee va aslamtu maaa sulaymeana lilleahi raabbil ealameen(ealameena).
It was said to her: “Enter the palace.” When she saw it, she deemed it to be a deep water, and bared her legs (tucked up her skirts).
