Surah Al-Ankabut

Bismillaah ir rahmaan ir raheem

29/Al-Ankabut-1: Alif leam meem.
Alif, Lam, Mim. (1)
29/Al-Ankabut-2: A haasiban neasu an yutrakoo an yakooloo eamannea va hum lea yuftanoon(yuftanoona).
Do people think that they will be left alone because they say: “We believe” and not be tested? (2)
And certainly We tested those before them too. Allah certainly knows who are truthful and who the liars are. (3)
29/Al-Ankabut-4: Am haasiballazeena yaa’maloonas sayyieati an yasbikoonea, seaa mea yaahkumoon(yaahkumoona).
Or do those who do evil deeds think that they will pass our test? Evil is it that they judge! (4)
29/Al-Ankabut-5: Man keana yarcoo likeaaalleahi fa inna acalaalleahi la eatin, va huvas sameeul aaleem(aaleemu).
Whoever wishes to reach Allah (while living), the term appointed by Allah will then most surely come (his spirit will most surely return to Allah while s/he is alive), and He is the All-Hearing, the All-Knowing. (5)
29/Al-Ankabut-6: Va man ceahada fa innamea yuceahidu li nafsihee, innaalleaha la gaaniyyun aanil ealameen(ealameena).
And whoever strives hard, he strives only for his own soul. Most surely Allah is Self Sufficient (free of need), above the Worlds. (6)
And those who believe (who are Amenu, who wish to reach Allah while they are living) and do improving deeds (do the soul’s cleansing), We will most certainly remit from them their evil deeds and We will most certainly reward them the best of what they used to do. (7)
29/Al-Ankabut-8: Va vaassaaynal inseana bi vealidayhi husnea(husnan), va in ceahadeaka li tushrika bee mea laysa laka bihee ilmun fa lea tutı’humea, ilayya marciukum fa unabbiukum bimea kuntum taa’maloon(taa’maloona).
And We have devised (commanded) on man to be kind and dutiful to his parents. And if they strive to make you join (associate) with Me that of which you have no knowledge, do not obey them. To Me is your return, so I will inform you of what you used to do. (8)
And those who believe (who are Amenu at Salah level) and do improving deeds (soul’s purification), We will most surely cause them to enter among the Improved Ones (Salihin). (9)
29/Al-Ankabut-10: Va minan neasi man yakoolu eamannea billeahi fa izea ooziya feelleahi caaala fitnatan neasi ka aazeabilleah(aazeabilleahee), va la in ceaa naasrun min raabbika la yakoolunna innea kunnea maaakum, a va laysaalleahu bi aa’lama bi mea fee sudooril ealameen(ealameena).
And when amongst the people who say: “We believe in Allah” are persecuted in the Way of Allah, they started a mischief as the persecution of the people to be the torment of Allah. If assistance comes from your Lord, they certainly say: “Surely we were with you”. Is not Allah the Best Knower of what is in the bosoms of the worlds? (10)
And most certainly Allah knows those who believe (who are Amenu), and who the hypocrites are. (11)
29/Al-Ankabut-12: Va kealallazeena kafaroo lillazeena eamanoottabioo sabeelanea valnaahmil haateayeakum, va mea hum bi heamileena min haateayeahum min shay’(shay’in), innahum la keaziboon(keaziboona).
And those who disbelieve said to those who believe (who are Amenu): “Follow our way and we will bear your mistakes (sins)”. Never shall they be the bearers of any of their mistakes (sins). Most surely they are liars. (12)
And most certainly they (the liars) shall bear their own burdens (sins) along with others’ burdens (sins). Most certainly they shall be questioned on the Day of Resurrection as to what they forged. (13)
29/Al-Ankabut-14: Va lakaad arsalnea noohaan ilea kaavmihee, fa labisa feehim alfa sanatin illea haamseena eamea(eaman), fa ahaazahumut toofeanu va hum zealimoon(zealimoona).
And certainly We sent Noah (Nuh) to his people (as a messenger). So he remained among them a fifty years less than thousand years (950 years). Then the Deluge overtook them. And they were wrong-doers. (14)
29/Al-Ankabut-15: Fa ancayneahu va aasheabas safeenati va caaalnea heaeayatan lil ealameen(ealameena).
So We delivered him and the mates of the Ark, and made him a Sign (example) for the Worlds. (15)
29/Al-Ankabut-16: Va ibreaheema iz keala li kaavmihee’budoolleaha vattakooh(vattakoohu), zealikum haayrun lakum in kuntum taa’lamoon(taa’lamoona).
And Abraham had said to his people: “Become servants to Allah and have piety towards Him. This is better for you, if you did but know”. (16)
29/Al-Ankabut-17: Innamea taa’budoona min doonilleahi avseanan va taahlukoona ifkea(ifkan), innallazeena taa’budoona min doonilleahi lea yamlikoona lakum rızkean, fabtagoo indaalleahir rızkaa vaa’budoohu vashkuroo lah(lahu), ilayhi turcaoon(turcaoona).
But you only worship idols besides Allah and you create a lie. Surely they whom you worship besides Allah have no power to give you any sustenance. Therefore seek the sustenance in the Presence of Allah and become servants to Allah and be grateful to Him. To Him you shall be brought back. (17)
29/Al-Ankabut-18: Va in tukazziboo fa kaad kazzaba umamun min kaablikum, va mea aalar rasooli illal baleagul mubeen(mubeenu).
And if you deny (belie), nations before you had indeed denied (belied). Nothing (no responsibility) on the Messenger but a plain conveying (of the Message). (18)
29/Al-Ankabut-19: A va lam yarav kayfa yubdiulleahul haalkaa, summa yueeduh (yueeduhu), inna zealika aalaalleahi yaseer(yaseerun).
Do they not see how Allah first originated the Creation? Then He will redeem it. Surely that is easy for Allah. (19)
29/Al-Ankabut-20: Kul seeroo feel aardı feanzuroo kayfa badaal haalkaa, summaalleahu yunsheeun nash’atal eahırah(eahırata), innaalleaha aalea kulli shay’in kaadeer(kaadeerun).
Say: “Travel in the earth and see how the first creation was. Then Allah will build (fulfill) the Creation of the Hereafter. Surely Allah has Power over all things”. (20)
29/Al-Ankabut-21: Yuaazzibu man yasheau va yarhaamu man yashea’(yasheau), va ilayhi tuklaboon(tuklaboona).
(Allah) torments whom He wills and has Mercy on whom He wills (He manifests Himself with His Name of the Most Merciful). And to Him you shall be made to be returned (transformed from one state into others). (21)
29/Al-Ankabut-22: Va mea antum bi mu’cizeena feel aardı va lea fees sameai va mea lakum min doonilleahi min valiyyin va lea naaseer(naaseerin).
And you shall not make Allah helpless in the earth or in the heaven. Besides Allah you have neither any friend nor any helper. (22)
29/Al-Ankabut-23: Vallazeena kafaroo bi eayeatilleahi va likeaihee uleaika yaisoo min raahmatee va uleaika lahum aazeabun aleem(aleemun).
And those who deny the Verses of Allah and reaching Him (having their spirits reach Allah while they are living), they have despaired of My Mercy. And these, it is they for whom there is a painful torment. (23)
29/Al-Ankabut-24: Fa mea keana caveaba kaavmihee illea an kealooktuloohu av haarrýkoohu fa anceahulleahu minan near(neari), inna fee zealika la eayeatin li kaavmin yu’minoon(yu’minoona).
Yet nothing was the answer of his people except that they said (to Abraham): “Kill him or burn him”! Then Allah delivered him from the fire. Most surely there are Signs (proofs) in this for a people who believe. (24)
29/Al-Ankabut-25: Va keala innamattahaaztum min doonilleahi avseanan mavaddata baynikum feel haayeatid dunyea, summa yavmal kıyeamati yakfuru baa’dukum bi baa’dın va yal’aanu baa’dukum baa’daan va ma’veakumun nearu va mea lakum min neasıreen(neasıreena).
And (Abraham) said: “You have only taken for yourselves idols that you loved besides Allah between you in the life of the world. Then on the Day of Resurrection some of you shall deny some others and some of you shall curse some others. Your place of return is the Fire, and for you there is no helper”. (25)
29/Al-Ankabut-26: Fa eamana lahu loot (lootun) va keala innee muheacirun ilea raabbee, innahu huval aazeezul haakeem(haakeemu).
After that Lot believed in him (Abraham) (he depended on him) and he said: “I am indeed the one who will migrate to my Lord (I will have my spirit reach Allah while I am living). Surely, He is the All-Mighty (the Most Exalted), the All-Wise (the Owner of Judgment)”. (26)
And We bestowed on him Isaac (Ishaq) and Jacob (Yaqub), and gave the Prophet-hood and the Book to his offspring. We gave him his wage in this world. In the Hereafter he verily will be of the Righteous Ones (Salihin). (27)
29/Al-Ankabut-28: Va lootaan iz keala li kaavmihee innakum la ta’toonal feahıshata mea sabakaakum bihea min ahaadin minal ealameen(ealameena).
And Lot had said to his people: “Most surely you come to evil (obscenity) which none has preceded you in (committing) it of the worlds”. (28)
29/Al-Ankabut-29: A innakum la ta’toonar riceala va taaktaaoonas sabeela va ta’toona fee neadeekumul munkar(munkara), fa mea keana caveaba kaavmihee illea an kealoo’tinea bi aazeabilleahi in kunta minas seadikeen(seadikeena).
Will you come to the males and intercept and commit shameful deeds (obscenities) in your assemblies? But nothing was the answer of his people except that they said: “Bring on us Allah’s torment if you are one of the truthful”. (29)
29/Al-Ankabut-30: Keala raabbinsurnee aalal kaavmil mufsideen(mufsideena).
(Abraham) said: “My Lord! Help me against the (Al-Mufsidun) mischievous people”! (30)
29/Al-Ankabut-31: Va lammea ceaat rusulunea ibreaheema bil bushrea, kealoo innea muhlikoo ahli heazihil kaaryah(kaaryati), inna ahlahea keanoo zealimeen(zealimeena).
And when Our Messengers came to Abraham with the glad tidings, they said: “Surely we are going to destroy the people of this town. Because its people have been wrong-doers. (31)
29/Al-Ankabut-32: Keala inna feehea lootea(lootan), kealoo naahnu aa’lamu bi man feehea la nunacciyannahu va ahlahoo illamraatahu keanat minal geabireen(geabireena).
(Abraham) said: “Surely in it is Lot. (The Messengers) said: “We know better who is in it. We shall certainly deliver him and his household (followers), except his wife. She shall be of those who remain behind”. (32)
29/Al-Ankabut-33: Va lammea an ceaat rusulunea lootaan seea bihim va deakaa bihim zar’ean, va kealoo lea tahaaf va lea taahzan, innea munaccooka va ahlaka illamraataka keanat minal geabireen(geabireena).
And when Our Messengers came to Lot, he was grieved and panicked because of them and felt straitened on their account. (The Messengers) said: “Fear not, nor grieve. Surely we will deliver you and your household, except your wife. She shall be of those who remain behind”. (33)
29/Al-Ankabut-34: Innea munziloona aalea ahli heazihil kaaryati riczan minas sameai bimea keanoo yafsukoon(yafsukoona).
Surely We are the ones to bring down upon the people of this town a filth (a terrible torment) from the heaven because their transgression (obscenity). (34)
29/Al-Ankabut-35: Va lakaad taraknea minhea eayatan bayyinatan li kaavmin yaa’kıloon(yaa’kıloona).
And certainly We have left a clear Sign of it (filth, terrible torment) for a people who will use their mind (intelligence). (35)
29/Al-Ankabut-36: Va ilea madyana aheahum shuaayban fa keala yea kaavmi’budoolleaha varcool yavmal eahıra va lea taa’sav feel aardı mufsideen(mufsideena).
And to Midian (We sent) their brother Shu’aib. Then he said to them: “O my people! Become servants to Allah and wish for the latter day (the day of reaching Allah before death) and do not cause rampage in the earth, making mischief (do not prevent from wishing to reach Allah)”. (36)
29/Al-Ankabut-37: Fa kazzaboohu fa ahaazathumur racfatu fa aasbahoo fee dearihim ceasimeen(ceasimeena).
But they belied him. So a severe quake over took them. Morning found them as knelt down in their dwelling place (they were perished). (37)
29/Al-Ankabut-38: Va eadan va samooda va kaad tabayyana lakum min maseakinihim, va zayyana lahumush shayteanu aa’mealahum fa saaddahum aanis sabeeli va keanoo mustabsıreen(mustabsıreena).
And the tribes of Ad and Thamud were shown to you! (Mentioning) their dwellings and Satan made their deeds fair-seeming to them, so he kept them back from the Way (of Allah), and they could sight (they denied yet seeing the truth). (38)
29/Al-Ankabut-39: Va kearoona va fir’aavna va heameana va lakaad ceaahum moosea bil bayyineati fastakbaroo feel aardı va mea keanoo seabikeen(seabikeena).
And certainly Moses came to Qarun and Pharaoh and Haman with clear arguments (proofs), but they were boastful in the land and they could not outstrip (Our torment). (39)
29/Al-Ankabut-40: Fa kullan ahaaznea bi zanbih(zanbihi), fa minhum man arsalnea aalayhi heasıbea(heasıban), va minhum man ahaazathussaayhaah(saayhaatu), va minhum man haasafneabihil aard(aardaa), va minhum man aagraaknea, va mea keanealleahu li yaazlimahum va leakin keanoo anfusahum yaazlimoon(yaazlimoona).
So We seized all with their sins. Thus We sent hurricane upon some and some were taken by As-Saihah (a terrible sound wave) and some We caused the earth to swallow up and some We drowned. Allah has never tormented them, but they tormented their own souls. (40)
29/Al-Ankabut-41: Masalullazeenattahaazoo min doonilleahi avliyeaa ka masalil aankaboot(aankabooti), ittahaazat baytea(baytan) va inna avhanal buyooti la baytul aankaboot(aankabooti), lav keanoo yaa’lamoon(yaa’lamoona).
The likeness of those who take friends besides Allah is as the likeness of the spider that takes unto herself a house. And most surely the weakest of the houses is the spider’s house. If they but knew! (41)
29/Al-Ankabut-42: Innaalleaha yaa’lamu mea yad’oona min doonihee min shay’in, va huval aazeezul haakeem(haakeemu).
Surely Allah knows whatever the things they worship besides Him and He is the All-Mighty, the All-Wise (the Owner of Judgment and Wisdom). (42)
29/Al-Ankabut-43: Va tilkal amsealu naadribuhea lin neas(neasi) va mea yaa’kıluhea illal ealimoon(ealimoona).
And We give these examples for mankind and none understands (comprehends) them but the scholars. (43)
29/Al-Ankabut-44: Haalaakaalleahus sameaveati val aardaa bil haakk(haakkı), inna fee zealika la eayatan lil mu’mineen(mu’mineena).
Allah created the heavens and the earth with the truth. Most surely there are proofs in this for the believers. (44)
29/Al-Ankabut-45: Utlu mea oohıya ilayka minal kiteabi va akımıs saaleat(saaleata), innas saaleata tanhea aanil faahsheai val munkar(munkari), va la zikrulleahi akbar(akbaru), vaalleahu yaa’lamu mea taasnaoon(taasnaoona).
Recite (read and explain to others) that which has been revealed to you of the Book and keep up the Prayer. Surely the Prayer keeps away from Al-Fahsh (to do what Allah prohibits) and Al-Munkar (to deny what Allah commands). And certainly the Remembrance (the repetition of the Name) of Allah is the greatest, and Allah knows what you do. (45)
29/Al-Ankabut-46: Va lea tuceadiloo ahlal kiteabi illea billatee hiya aahsanu illallazeena zaalamoo minhum va kooloo eamannea billazee unzila ilaynea va unzila ilaykum va ileahunea va ileahukum veahıdun va naahnu lahu muslimoon(muslimoona).
And do not struggle in any other way but the best with the people of the Book except amongst them who torment, and say: “We believe in that which has been sent down to us and sent down to you and our God and your God is One and to Him do we submit”. (46)
29/Al-Ankabut-47: Va kazealika anzalnea ilaykal kiteab(kiteaba), fallazeena eataynea humul kiteaba yu’minoona bih(bihee), va min heauleai man yu’minu bih(bihee), va mea yachaadu bi eayeatinea illal keafiroon(keafiroona).
And thus have We sent down the Book to you. So those whom We have given the Book believe in it, and of these there are those who believe in it (in the Qur’an), and none deny knowingly Our Verses except the disbelievers. (47)
29/Al-Ankabut-48: Va mea kunta tatloo min kaablihee min kiteabin va lea tahuttuhu bi yameenika izan larteabal mubtıloon(mubtıloona).
And you did not read before it any book. And you are not transcribing it with your hand either. If that was the case, the talkers of vanities would certainly have doubted. (48)
29/Al-Ankabut-49: Bal huva eayeatun bayyineatun fee sudoorillazeena ootool ilm(ilma), va mea yachaadu bi eayeatinea illaz zealimoon(zealimoona).
Nay! It (the Qur’an) is the Verses that are explained in the bosoms of those who have been given knowledge. And they do not knowingly deny Our Verses except the wrong-doers. (49)
29/Al-Ankabut-50: Va kealoo lav lea unzila aalayhi eayeatun min raabbih(raabbihee), kul innamal eayeatu indaalleah(indaalleahi), va innamea ana nazeerun mubeen(mubeenun).
And they said: “Should not the Verses (miracles) have been sent down upon him from his Lord”? Say: “The Verses (miracles) are only in the Presence of Allah, and I am only a clear warner”. (50)
29/Al-Ankabut-51: A va lam yakfihim annea anzalnea aalaykal kiteaba yutlea aalayhim, inna fee zealika la raahmatan va zikrea li kaavmin yu’minoon(yu’minoona).
Is it not enough for them that how We have sent down to you the Book which is recited (read and explained) to them? Most surely there is indeed Mercy in this and a reminder (remembrance, Dhikr) for a people who believe. (51)
29/Al-Ankabut-52: Kul kafea billeahi baynee va baynakum shaheedea(shaheedan), yaa’lamu mea fees sameaveati val aard(aardı), vallazeena eamanoo bil beatılı va kafaroo billeahi uleaika humul heasiroon(heasiroona).
Say: “Allah is Sufficient as a Witness between me and you. He knows what is in the heavens and the earth”. Those who believe in the falsehood and disbelieve in Allah, these it is that are in loss. (52)
And they ask you to hasten on the torment. If a term had not been appointed, the torment would certainly have come to them (right away) and most surely it will come to them all of a sudden while they do not perceive. (53)
They ask you to hasten on the torment. Most surely Hell encompasses the disbelievers. (54)
29/Al-Ankabut-55: Yavma yaagsheahumul aazeabu min favkıhim va min taahti arculihim va yakoolu zookoo mea kuntum taa’maloon(taa’maloona).
On that Day the torment shall cover them completely from above them and from underneath their feet. And (Allah) shall say: “Taste (the punishment of) what you used to do”. (55)
29/Al-Ankabut-56: Yea ıbeadıyallazeena eamanoo inna aardee veasiaatun fa iyyeaya faa’budooni.
O My believing (Amenu, who wish to reach Allah while they are living) servants, surely My earth is vast. Therefore become servants to Me Alone! (56)
29/Al-Ankabut-57: Kullu nafsin zeaikaatul mavti summa ilaynea turcaoon(turcaoona).
Every soul shall taste the death, then to Us you shall be brought back. (57)
29/Al-Ankabut-58: Vallazeena eamanoo va aamiloos sealiheati la nubavviannahum minal cannati guraafaan tacreemin taahtihal anhearu healideena feehea, ni’ma acrul eamileen(eamileena).
And they believed (became Amenu, wished to reach Allah before death) and did improving deeds (did the soul’s cleansing). We will certainly house them in lofty dwellings of heaven, underneath which the rivers flow, abiding therein forever. How excellent is the reward of those who do ameliorating deeds (deeds that improve the soul)! (58)
29/Al-Ankabut-59: Allazeena saabaroo va aalea raabbihim yatavakkaloon(yatavakkaloona).
Those who are the owners of patience and in their Lord do they put their trust. (59)
29/Al-Ankabut-60: Va kaayyin min deabbatin lea taahmilu rızkaahea aalleahu yarzukuhea va iyyeakum va huvas sameeul aaleem(aaleemu).
And how many of animals that do not carry its sustenance. Allah sustains them and you too. And He is the All-Hearing, the All-Knowing. (60)
29/Al-Ankabut-61: Va la in saaltahum man haalaakaas sameaveati val aardaa va sahhaarash shamsa val kaamara la yakoolunnaalleah(yakoolunnaalleahu), fa annea yu’fakoon(yu’fakoona).
And if you ask them: “Who created the heavens and the earth and made the sun and the moon subservient”, they certainly say: “Allah”. So, how are they turned away (from the truth to the falsehood)? (61)
29/Al-Ankabut-62: AAlleahu yabsutur rızkaa li man yasheau min ibeadihee va yaakdiru lah(lahu), innaalleaha bi kulli shay’in aaleem(aaleemun).
Allah enlarges the provision for whom He wills of His servants, and straitens it for those. Verily, Allah is the All-Knowing of everything. (62)
29/Al-Ankabut-63: Va la in saaltahum man nazzala minas sameai meaan fa aahyea bihil aardaa min baa’di mavtihea la yakoolunnaalleah(yakoolunnaalleahu), kulil haamdu lilleah(lilleahi), bal aksaruhum lea yaa’kıloon(yaa’kıloona).
And if you ask them: “Who is it that sends down water from the sky, then gives life to the earth with it after its death?” they certainly say: “Allah”. Say: “All praise is due to Allah”. Nay, most of them do not use their mind. (63)
And this life of the world is only an amusement and a play. Verily the Home of the Hereafter, that most surely is the life indeed, if they but knew. (64)
29/Al-Ankabut-65: Fa izea raakiboo feel fulki daaavoolleaha muhliseena lahud deen(deena), fa lammea nacceahum ilal barri izea hum yushrikoon(yushrikoona).
When they embark on a ship, they call upon Allah, making their religion pure for Him only. But when We bring them safely to the land, behold, they immediately associate others (with Allah)! (65)
29/Al-Ankabut-66: Li yakfuroo bimea eatayneahum va li yatamattaaoo, fa savfa yaa’lamoon(yaa’lamoona).
For them to become ungrateful for (disbelieve in) what We have given them, and that they may benefit. But soon they will know. (66)
29/Al-Ankabut-67: A va lam yarav annea caaalnea haaraaman eaminan va yutahaattaafun neasu min haavlihim, a fa bil beatılı yu’minoona va bi ni’matilleahi yakfuroon(yakfuroona).
Did they not see that We have made it (Mecca) a sacred territory secure (from violence), when men around it and their belongings were being snatched away (by force)? Do they still believe in the falsehood and deny the Blessing of Allah? (67)
29/Al-Ankabut-68: Va man aazlamu mimmaniftarea aalaalleahi kaziban av kazzaba bil haakkı lammea ceaah(ceaahu), a laysa fee cahannama masvan lil keafireen(keafireena).
And who does more wrong than one who forges a lie against Allah, or gives the lie to (denies) the truth when it has come to him? Is Hell not a Dwelling place for the disbelievers? (68)
And those who strive hard in Us (against their souls and Allah’s enemies), We will most certainly guide them to Our Ways (Sirat-i Mustakim) and Allah is most surely with the Al-Muhsinun (good doers). (69)
