Surah Ar-Rum

Bismillaah ir rahmaan ir raheem

30/Ar-Rum-1: Alif leam meem.
Alif, Lȃm, Mim. (1)
30/Ar-Rum-2: Gulibatir room(roomu).
The Romans have been defeated. (2)
30/Ar-Rum-3: Fee adnal aardı va hum min baa’di gaalabihim sa yaagliboon(yaagliboona).
After being vanquished, they shall be victorious in a nearby place. (3)
30/Ar-Rum-4: Fee bıd’ı sineen(sineena), lilleahil amru min kaablu va min baa’d(baa’du), va yavma izin yafraahul mu’minoon(mu’minoona).
Within a few (three to nine) years. Allah’s is the Command before and after this. On that day the believers will rejoice. (4)
30/Ar-Rum-5: Bi naasrilleah(naasrilleahi), yaansuru man yashea’(yasheau), va huval aazeezur raaheem(raaheemu).
With the Help of Allah, He helps whom He wills and He is the All-Mighty, the Most Merciful (the One Who manifests Himself with His Name of the Most Merciful). (5)
30/Ar-Rum-6: Vaa’daalleah(vaa’daalleahi), lea yuhlifulleahu vaa’dahu va leakinna aksaran neasi lea yaa’lamoon(yaa’lamoona).
(This is) the Promise of Allah! Allah does not fail in His Promise, but most of mankind do not know. (6)
30/Ar-Rum-7: Yaa’lamoona zeahiran minal haayeatid dunyea, va hum aanil eahırati hum geafiloon(geafiloona).
They know the outward of the life of the world, and they are heedless of the Hereafter. (7)
Do they not reflect (reckon) in regards to their own souls? Allah created the heavens and the earth and what is between them two but with the truth and for an appointed term. And truly most of the people are deniers of the reaching with their Lord (they indeed disbelieve in having their spirits reach Allah while they are alive). (8)
30/Ar-Rum-9: A va lam yaseeroo feel aardı fa yanzuroo kayfa keana eakıbatullazeena min kaablihim, keanoo ashadda minhum kuvvatan, va asearool aardaa va aamaroohea aksaraa mimmea aamaroohea va ceaathum rusuluhum bil bayyineat(bayyineati), fa mea keanaalleahu li yaazlimahum va leakin keanoo anfusahum yaazlimoon(yaazlimoona).
Do they not travel in the earth and see how the end of those before them was? They were stronger than those in prowess, and they had dug the earth and built upon it more than those have built. Their Messengers had come to them with the clear arguments. Allah was not wronging them, but they were wronging their own souls. (9)
30/Ar-Rum-10: Summa keana eakıbatallazeena aseaus sooea an kazzaboo bi eayeatilleahi va keanoo bihea yastahzioon(yastahzioona).
Then terrible was the end of those who did evil, because they denied (belied) the Verses of Allah and used to mock them. (10)
30/Ar-Rum-11: AAlleahu yabdaul haalkaa summa yueeduhu summa ilayhi turcaoon(turcaoona).
Allah originates the creation, then brings it back (puts it back to its origin). Then to Him you shall be returned. (11)
30/Ar-Rum-12: Va yavma takoomus seaaatu yublisul mucrimoon(mucrimoona).
And on the (Dooms) Day when the Hour is established, the guilty shall be in despair. (12)
30/Ar-Rum-13: Va lam yakun lahum min shurakeaihim shufaeaoo va keanoo bi shurakeaihim keafireen(keafireena).
And there will be no intercessors for them of those whom they have associated (with Allah) and they shall be deniers of their associates (on that day). (13)
30/Ar-Rum-14: Va yavma takoomus seaaatu yavmaizin yatafarraakoon(yatafarraakoona).
And on the Day when the Hour is established (the Doomsday), at that time of permission, they shall divide into groups. (14)
30/Ar-Rum-15: Fa ammallazeena eamanoo va aamiloos sealiheati fa hum fee raavdaatin yuhbarun(yuhbaruna).
But those who believe (who are Amenu, who wished to reach Allah while they were living) and did improving deeds (did the soul’s cleansing), they shall be delightful and happy in a Gardens (with blessings). (15)
30/Ar-Rum-16: Va ammallazeena kafaroo va kazzaboo bi eayeatinea va likeail eahırati fa uleaika feel aazeabi muhdaaroon(muhdaaroona).
And as to those who disbelieved and belied (rejected) Our Verses and the meeting of the hereafter (denied having their spirits reach Allah while they are living), these shall be made to be ready in the Torment. (16)
30/Ar-Rum-17: Fa subheanaalleahi heena tumsoona va heena tusbıhoon(tusbıhoona).
So glorify Allah in the evening and in the morning time. (17)
30/Ar-Rum-18: Va lahul haamdu fees sameaveati val aardı va aashiyyan va heena tuzhıroon(tuzhıroona).
And to Him belongs all praise in the heavens and the earth. At late noon and at midday (glorify Him)! (18)
30/Ar-Rum-19: Yuhricul haayya minal mayyiti va yuhricul mayyita minal haayyi va yuhyil aardaa baa’da mavtihea, va kazealika tuhracoon(tuhracoona).
He brings forth the living from the dead and brings forth the dead from the living. And gives life to the earth after its death, and thus shall you be brought forth (from the earth, just like that). (19)
30/Ar-Rum-20: Va min eayeatihee an haalaakaakum min tureabin summa izea antum basharun tantashiroon(tantashiroona).
And from His Signs (miracles) that He created you from dust. Then when you become a (human) being, you scatter (on earth as you multiply). (20)
30/Ar-Rum-21: Va min eayeatihee an haalaakaa lakum min anfusikum azveacan li taskunoo ilayhea va caaala baynakum mavaddatan va raahmah(raahmatan), inna fee zealika la eayeatin li kaavmin yatafakkaroon(yatafakkaroona).
And as of His Signs, He created mates for you from your souls that you may find rest in them. And He put between you love and mercy (compassion). Most surely there are Signs (proofs) in this for a people who reflect (reckon). (21)
And it from His Signs that He had created the heavens and the earth and your tongues and colors are different. Most surely there are Signs (proofs) in this for the scholars. (22)
30/Ar-Rum-23: Va min eayeatihee maneamukum bil layli van naheari vabtigeaukum min faadlih(faadlihi), inna fee zealika la eayeatin li kaavmin yasmaoon(yasmaoona).
And it from His Signs that you sleep at night and seek His Virtue by day. Most surely there are Signs (proofs) in this for a people who hear. (23)
30/Ar-Rum-24: Va min eayeatihee yureekumul barkaa haavfan va taamaaaan, va yunazzilu minas sameai meaan fa yuhyee bihil aardaa baa’da mavtihea, inna fee zealika la eayeatin li kaavmin yaa’kıloon(yaa’kıloona).
And it from His Signs that He shows you the lightning for fear and for hope. And sends down water from the sky, hence gives life therewith to the earth after its death. Most surely there are Signs (proofs) in this for a people who use their mind. (24)
30/Ar-Rum-25: Va min eayeatihee an takoomas sameau val aardu bi amrih(amrihee), summa izea daeakum daa’vatan minal aardı izea antum taahrucoon(taahrucoona).
And it is from His Signs that the heaven and the earth stand (in balance) by His Command. Then when He calls you with a single call, you will come out from the earth (from your graves). (25)
30/Ar-Rum-26: Va lahu man fees sameaveati val aard(aardı), kullun lahu keanitoon(keanitoona).
And His is whosoever is in the heavens and the earth. All are Qanitin (stand in admiration) to Him. (26)
30/Ar-Rum-27: Va huvallazee yabdaul haalkaa summa yueeduhu, va huva ahvanu aalayh(aalayhi), va lahul masalul aa’lea fees sameaveati val aard(aardı), va huval aazeezul haakeem(haakeemu).
And He it is Who originates the creation, then causes it to return again (brings it back to its original form) and this very is easy for Him. His is the Attribute of Sublimity in the heavens and the earth, and He is the All-Mighty, the All-Wise (the Owner of Wisdom and Judgment). (27)
30/Ar-Rum-28: : Daaraaba lakum masalan min anfusikum, hal lakum min mea malakat aymeanukum min shurakeaa fee mea razaakneakum fa antum feehi saveaun taheafoonahum ka heefatikum anfusakum, kazealika nufaassılul eayeati li kaavmin yaa’kıloon(yaa’kıloona).
(Allah) set forth for you an example from your own souls. Have you among those whom your right hands possess (among your slaves) partners in what We have given you for sustenance (like this, those idols can be partners to Allah), so that with respect to it you are equal and you respect them as you respect each other? Thus do We explain the Verses in detail to a people who are mindful. (28)
30/Ar-Rum-29: Balittabaaallazeena zaalamoo ahveaahum bi gaayri ilm(ilmin), fa man yahdee man adaallaalleah(adaallaalleahu), va mea lahum min neasıreen(neasıreena).
Nay! The tyrants followed their low desires without any knowledge. So who can guide those whom Allah leaves in Misguidance? And for such there are no helpers. (29)
30/Ar-Rum-30: Fa akim vachaka lid deeni haaneefea(haaneefan), fıtraataalleahillatee faataaraan neasa aalayhea, lea tabdeela li haalkılleah(haalkılleahi), zealikad deenul kaayyimu va leakinna aksaraan neasi lea yaa’lamoon(yaa’lamoona).
Then set yourself (your physical body) for the Religion as a Hanif, the nature made by Allah in which He has made all mankind. There is no altering in Allah’s creation that is the lasting Religion (that will last from the Pre-Eternity till the Post-Eternity), but most people do not know. (30)
30/Ar-Rum-31: Muneebeena ilayhi vattakoohu va akeemoos saaleata va lea takoonoo minal mushrikeen(mushrikeena).
Turn to Him (wish to reach Allah while you are living) and become the owners of piety. And keep up the Prayer and (thus) be not of the associators (Al-Musriqun). (31)
30/Ar-Rum-32: Minallazeena farraakoo deenahum va keanoo shiyaea(shiyaaan), kullu hızbin bimea ladayhim farihoon(farihoona).
(Of those associators) who are divided in their Religion and became sects (fractions), every fraction rejoicing in what is with it. (32)
30/Ar-Rum-33: Va izea massan neasa durrun daaav raabbahum muneebeena ilayhi summa izea azeakaahum minhu raahmatan izea fareekun minhum bi raabbihim yushrikoon(yushrikoona).
And when a calamity touches mankind, they call upon their Lord, turning to Him. Then when He makes them taste Mercy from Him (when He causes them to reach Hidayet with His Name of the Most Merciful), some of them begin to associate (other things) with their Lord (they fall into Misguidance while they were in Hidayet). (33)
30/Ar-Rum-34: Li yakfuroo bimea eatayneahum, fa tamattaoo fa savfa taa’lamoon(taa’lamoona).
Let them deny what We have given them, so enjoy yourselves (benefit themselves). They will soon come to know. (34)
30/Ar-Rum-35: Am anzalnea aalayhim sulteanan fa huva yatakallamu bimea keanoo bihee yushrikoon(yushrikoona).
Or, have We sent down upon them an authority (a proof, a Book) so that it (the Book) speaks to them to associate with Him (Allah)? (35)
30/Ar-Rum-36: Va izea azaaknan neasa raahmatan farihoo bihea, va in tusıbhum sayyiatun bimea kaaddamat aydeehim izea hum yaaknatoon(yaaknatoona).
And when We make people taste Mercy, they rejoice (they get spoiled) in it and if an evil befalls them for what their hands have sent forth, they are in despair! (36)
30/Ar-Rum-37: AA va lam yarav annalleaha yabsutur rızkaa li man yasheau va yaakdir(yaakdiru), inna fee zealika la eayeatin li kaavmin yu’minoon(yu’minoona).
Did they not see that Allah enlarges the provision for whom He wills and restricts (it for whom He wills)? Most surely there are Signs in this for a people who believe. (37)
30/Ar-Rum-38: Fa eati zal kurbea haakkaahu val miskeena vabnas sabeel(sabeeli), zealika haayrun lillazeena yureedoona vachaalleahi va uleaika humul muflihoon(muflihoona).
Therefore give to the near of kin and to the needy and to the wayfarer their righteous due. This is better for those who yearn for Allah s Face (who wish to reach Allah) and these it is who reach Salvation. (38)
30/Ar-Rum-39: Va mea eataytum min riban li yarbuva fee amvealin neasi fa lea yarboo indaalleah(indaalleahi), va mea eataytum min zakeatin tureedoona vachaalleahi fa uleaika humul mud’ıfoon(mud’ıfoona).
And whatever you lay out as usury in order that it may increase on people’s property (Dhikr you do without wishing to reach Allah while you are living), it shall not increase in the Presence of Allah (it does not bring the glorious lights in to your souls hearts and does not increase them). Whatever you give in Zakat (Dhikir you do) seeking Allah’s Face (seeking to reach Allah), it is these that shall get manifold (increase the glorious lights in the souls’ hearts). (39)
30/Ar-Rum-40: AAlleahullazee haalaakaakum summa razakaakum summa yumeetukum summa yuhyeekum, hal min shurakeaikum man yaf’aalu min zealikum min shay’(shay’in), subheanahu va taealea aammea yushrikoon(yushrikoona).
Allah is He Who created you, then gave you sustenance (He gave you sustenance in the world’s life and filled your souls’ hearts with glorious lights). Then He will cause you to die, then bring you to life. Is there any of your associates (idols) who does anything of it? Glory be to Him, and exalted be He above what they associate (with Him). (40)
30/Ar-Rum-41: Zaahaaral faseadu feel barri val baahri bimea kasabat aydin neasi, li yuzeekaahum baa’daallazee aamiloo laaallahum yarcioon(yarcioona).
Mischief has appeared in the land and the sea because of what the hands of the mankind have earned, that He may make them taste a part of that which they have done, so that they may return (turn to Allah) (41)
30/Ar-Rum-42: Kul seeroo feel aardı fanzuroo kayfa keana eakıbatullazeena min kaabl(kaablu), keana aksaruhum mushrikeen(mushrikeena).

That He may reward those who believe (who are Amenu, who wish to reach Allah before death) and do improving deeds (purify their soul’s hearts) out of His Virtue. Surely He does not love the disbelievers. (45)

Allah is He Who sends forth the winds, so moves the clouds. Then He spreads it forth in the sky as He wills and He breaks it up then you see the rain coming forth from amongst them. Then when He causes it (the rain) to touch upon whom He wills of His servants, behold, they enjoy. (48)
30/Ar-Rum-49: Va in keanoo min kaabli an yunazzala aalayhim min kaablihee la mubliseen(mubliseena).
And they were before this, before it (rain) was sent down upon them, confounded in sure despair. (49)

And if We send a wind and they see it (their crop) turn yellow, they would after that certainly continue to disbelieve. (51)
30/Ar-Rum-52: Fa innaka lea tusmiul mavtea va lea tusmius summad dueaa izea vallav mudbireen(mudbireena).
So, surely, you cannot make the dead to hear, you cannot make the deaf to hear the invitation when they turn back and flee. (52)

Allah is He Who created you from a weak thing, then He gave you strength after weakness, then made you weak and old after strength. He creates what He wills, and He is the All-Knowing, the All-Powerful. (54)
30/Ar-Rum-55: Va yavma takoomus seaaatu yuksimul mucrimoona mea labisoo gaayraa seaaah(seaaatin), kazealika keanoo yu’fakoon(yu’fakoona).

30/Ar-Rum-56: Va kealallazeena ootool ilma val eemeana lakaad labistum fee kiteabilleahi ilea yavmil baa’si fa heazea yavmul baa’si va leakinnakum kuntum lea taa’lamoon(taa’lamoona).
