Surah Al-Isra

Bismillaah ir rahmaan ir raheem

17/Al-Isra-1: Subheanallazee asrea bi aabdihee laylan minal mascidil haareami ilal mascidil aaksaallazee bearaknea haavlahu li nuriyahu min eayeatinea, innahu huvas sameeul baaseer(baaseeru).
Glory be to Him who made His servant to go on a night from Al-Masjid–al–Harâm (the Sacred Mosque) to Al–Masjid-al–Aqsâ whose surroundings We have blessed, that We might show him of Our Verses. Surely He is All-Hearing, All–Seeing. (1)
17/Al-Isra-2: Va eataynea moosal kiteaba va caaalneahu hudan li banee isreaeela allea tattahızoo min doonee vakeelea(vakeelan).
And We gave Moses the Book and assigned him as a person of Hidayet to the Children of Israel (saying): “Do not take a Surrogate besides Me”. (2)
17/Al-Isra-3: Zurriyyata man haamalnea maaa nooh(noohin), innahu keana aabdan shakoorea(shakooran).
Behold! The offspring of those whom We carried along with Noah! Surely he (Noah) was a grateful servant. (3)
And We decreed to the Children of Israel in the Book (Torah): “You will make mischief in the earth twice”. And most certainly you will be victorious with great superiority. (4)
17/Al-Isra-5: Fa izea ceaa vaa’du ooleahumea baaasnea aalaykum ibeadan lanea uleeba’sin shadeedin fa ceasoo hılealad diyear(diyeari), va keana vaa’dan maf’oolea(maf’oolan).
So when the promise for the first of the two came, We sent over you Our servants, of mighty powers. So they entered the very innermost parts of your homes and a promise was accomplished. (5)
17/Al-Isra-6: Summa radadnea lakumul karrata aalayhim va amdadneakum bi amvealin va baneena va caaalneakum aksara nafeerea(nafeeran).
Then We gave you back the turn to prevail against them (in victory) and aided you with wealth and children and made you more numerous in man–power. (6)
17/Al-Isra-7: In aahsantum aahsantum li anfusikum va in asa’tum fa lahea, fa izea ceaa vaa’dul eahırati li yasoou vucoohakum va li yadhulool mascida kamea dahaaloohu avvala marratin va li yutabbiroo mea aalav tatbeerea(tatbeeran).
If you behave in the best way, it is the best for your own souls. If you behave badly, it belongs to it (your soul). So when the second (promise, that of your second mischief-making) comes, that they may darken your faces and that they may enter the Masjid as they entered it the first time, and that they might destroy whatever they gained ascendancy over with utter destruction. (7)
17/Al-Isra-8: AAsea raabbukum an yarhaamakum, va in udtum udnea, va caaalnea cahannama lil keafireena haaseerea(haaseeran).
It may be that your Lord will have mercy on you. And if you again return (to mischief-making) We too will return (to punishment). And We have made Hell a confinement for the disbelievers. (8)
17/Al-Isra-9: Inna heazal kur’eana yahdee lillatee hiya aakvamu va yubashshirul mu’mineenallazeena yaa’maloonas sealiheati anna lahum acran kabeerea(kabeeran).
Surely this Qur’ân gives Hidayet (delivers to Allah) to that which is most powerful. And give glad tidings to the believers who do improving deeds (that improve the souls) that for them there is a great reward (wage). (9)
17/Al-Isra-10: Va annallazeena lea yu’minoona bil eahırati aa’tadnea lahum aazeaban aleemea(aleeman).
And they are the ones who do not believe in the Hereafter (in meeting with Allah before death and in the Doomsday). We prepared for them a painful torment. (10)
17/Al-Isra-11: Va yad’ul inseanu bish sharri dueaahu bil haayr(haayri), va keanal inseanu aacoolea(aacoolan).
And a man prays for evil as (if) he ought to pray for good, and a man turned to be hastier. (11)
17/Al-Isra-12: Va caaalnal layla van naheara eayatayni fa mahaavnea eayatal layli va caaalnea eayatan naheari mubsıraatan li tabtagoo faadlan min raabbikum va li taa’lamoo aadadas sineena val hiseab(hiseaba), va kulla shay’in faassaalneahu taafseelea(taafseelan).
We have made the night and the day two Signs (means) for you to know the numbering of years and the reckoning. We have made the Sign of the night (what is in it) invisible. We have made the Sign of the day (what is in it) visible, so that you may seek the Virtues from your Lord. And We have explained everything in detail (with distinctness). (12)
17/Al-Isra-13: Va kulla inseanin alzamneahu teairahu fee unukıh(unukıhee), va nuhricu lahu yavmal kıyeamati kiteaban yalkeahu manshoorea(manshooran).
And We have fastened every individual’s bird (the degrees that they have earned and lost) on their own neck. And We bring forth on the Day of Resurrection a book (the three–dimensional film played in the void). (13)
17/Al-Isra-14: Ikraa’ kiteabak(kiteabaka), kafea bi nafsikal yavma aalayka haaseebea(haaseeban).
Read your book (watch your life film)! Your own soul is sufficient as an accountant against you this Day (the results of the positive degrees and the negative degrees that show your soul should go to Heaven or Hell). (14)
17/Al-Isra-15: Manihtadea fa innamea yahtadee li nafsihee, va man daalla fa innamea yaadıllu aalayhea, va lea taziru veaziraatun vizraa uhrea, va mea kunnea muaazzibeena haattea nab’aasa rasoolea(rasoolan).
Whoever attains to Hidayet, for his own soul (as he has cleansed his soul) does he attain to Hidayet. Then whoever is in Misguidance, he remains in Misguidance, as one whose responsibility is upon himself. The bearer of a burden (sin) cannot bear the burden (sin) of another. And We never tormented (punished) until We sent a Messenger. (15)
17/Al-Isra-16: Va izea aradnea an nuhlika kaaryatan amarnea mutraafeehea fa fasakoo feehea fa haakkaa aalayhal kaavlu fa dammarneahea tadmeerea(tadmeeran).
And when We wished to destroy a country, We sent Our Commandment to the notables (the rich who live in comfort, who lead a life of luxury). Yet they made mischief therein. Thus the Word (of Allah) is justified against them. So We destroyed it (the country and its people) with utter destruction. (16)
17/Al-Isra-17: Va kam ahlaknea minal kurooni min baa’di nooh(noohin) va kafea bi raabbika bi zunoobi ıbeadihee haabeeran baaseerea(baaseeran).
And how many of the generations did We destroy after Noah within centuries! And your Lord is sufficient as an All-Knower and All-Beholder of the sins of His servants. (17)
17/Al-Isra-18: Man keana yureedul eacilata aaccalnea lahu feehea mea nasheau li man nureedu summa caaalnea lahu cahannam(cahannama), yaasleahea mazmooman madhoorea(madhooran).
Whoever desires the quick passing (immediately in this world), We hasten to him there in what We will for whom We will. Then We assign him as the inmate of Hell. He gets thrown into it condemned and banished (from Mercy). (18)
17/Al-Isra-19: Va man areadal eahırata va saaea lahea saa’yahea va huva mu’minun fa uleaika keana saa’yuhum mashkoorea(mashkooran).
Whoever desires the Hereafter as a believer and works for it as he ought to work, surely becomes appreciated (the one who deserves the reward). (19)
17/Al-Isra-20: Kullan numiddu heauleai va heauleai min aateai raabbik(raabbika), va mea keana aateau raabbika maahzoorea(maahzooran).
We give these to all (to those who desire for this world and to those who desire for the Hereafter). And these are from the Blessings of your Lord. The Blessings of your Lord is not confined. (20)
17/Al-Isra-21: Unzur kayfa faaddaalnea baa’daahum aalea baa’d(baa’dın), va lal eahıratu akbaru daraceatin va akbaru taafdeelea(taafdeelan).
See how We have made some of them to excel others, and certainly the Hereafter is greater in degrees and greater in advancement. (21)
17/Al-Isra-22: Lea tac’aal maaalleahi ileahan eahaara fa taak’uda mazmooman maahzoolea(maahzoolan).
Do not associate with Allah any other god! Then you remain despised, forsaken. (22)
17/Al-Isra-23: Va kaadea raabbuka allea taa’budoo illea iyyeahu va bil vealidayni ihseanea(ihseanan), immea yablugaanna indakal kibara ahaaduhumea av kilea humea fa lea takul lahumea uffin va lea tanhar humea va kul lahumea kaavlan kareemea(kareeman).
And your Lord has decreed that you shall not serve any but Him, and that you show kindness to your parents. If either or both of them live with you, do not say to them “Ugh” nor rebuke them, and speak to them a generous word. (23)
17/Al-Isra-24: Vaahfıd lahumea caneahaaz zulli minar raahmati va kul raabbirhaamhumea kamea raabbayeanee saageerea(saageeran).
And lower unto them the wing of humility through mercy, and say: “My Lord! Bestow on them Your Mercy as they did bring me up”. (24)
17/Al-Isra-25: Raabbukum aa’lamu bi mea fee nufoosikum, in takoonoo sealiheena fa innahu keana lil avveabeena gaafoorea(gaafooran).
Your Lord knows best what is in your souls (your intention). If you become Sâlihîn (the improved ones), then He is Ever Most Forgiving to those who Evvâbîn (who turn unto Him in repentance and reach Him). (25)
17/Al-Isra-26: Va eati zal kurbea haakkaahu val miskeena vabnas sabeeli va lea tubazzir tabzeerea(tabzeeran).
Give to the near of kin his due and to the needy (elderly who cannot work) and the wayfarer! And do not squander wastefully! (26)
17/Al-Isra-27: Innal mubazzireena keanoo ihveanash shayeateen(shayeateeni), va keanash shayteanu li raabbihee kafoorea(kafooran).
Surely the squanderers (those who waste unnecessarily for doing wrong and making mischief) became the brothers of Satan. And Satan is ever ungrateful to his Lord. (27)
17/Al-Isra-28: Va immea tu’ridaanna aanhumubtigeaa raahmatin min raabbika tarcoohea fa kul lahum kaavlan maysoorea(maysooran).
If you turn away from the needy (being compelled to it) awaiting Mercy from your Lord which you expect, then speak to them a gentle word. (28)
17/Al-Isra-29: Va lea tac’aal yadaka maagloolatan ilea unukıka va lea tabsuthea kullal baastı fa taak’uda malooman maahsoorea(maahsooran).
And do not make your hand to be shackled to your neck (do not become stingy) nor stretch it forth to the utmost (do not waste). Otherwise you should remain blamed, stripped off of your property. (29)
17/Al-Isra-30: Inna raabbaka yabsutur rızkaa li man yasheau va yaakdir(yaakdiru), innahu keana bi ibeadihee haabeeraan baaseerea(baaseeraan).
Surely your Lord enlarges (and measures) the means of sustenance for whom He wills and straitens. Surely He is ever aware of, seeing His servants. (30)
17/Al-Isra-31: Va lea taaktuloo avleadakum haashyata imleak(imleakın), naahnu narzukuhum va iyyeakum, inna kaatlahum keana hıt’an kabeerea(kabeeran).
Do not kill your children for fear of poverty! We give the sustenance. Surely to kill them is a great crime (committed deliberately). (31)
17/Al-Isra-32: Va lea taakrabooz zinea innahu keana feahıshah(feahıshatan), va seaa sabeelea(sabeelan).
Do not approach adultery! Surely it is an indecency and evil way. (32)
17/Al-Isra-33: Va lea taaktuloon nafsallatee haarramaalleahu illea bil haakk(haakkı), va man kutila maazlooman fa kaad caaalnea li valiyyihee sulteanan fa lea yusrif feel kaatl(kaatli), innahu keana mansoorea(mansooraan).
And do not kill any soul (a person) whom Allah has forbidden, except for a just cause! Whoever is killed wrongfully (unjustly), We have indeed given to his heir the authority. So he should not exceed the just limits in killing. Surely he is aided. (33)
17/Al-Isra-34: Va lea taakraboo mealal yateemi illea billatee hiya aahsanu haattea yablugaa ashuddah(ashuddahu), va avfoo bil aahd(aahdi), innal aahda keana mas’oolea(mas’oolan).
Do not approach the property of an orphan except in a goodly way till he attains his the age of full strength (puberty)! And fulfill the covenant! Surely the covenant makes (you) responsible. (34)
17/Al-Isra-35: Va avfool kayla izea kiltum vazinoo bil kısteasil mustakeem(mustakeemi), zealika haayrun va aahsanu ta’veelea(ta’veelan).
And give full measure when you measure out, and weigh with a true balance! This is fair and better in respect of interpretation. (35)
17/Al-Isra-36: Va lea taakfu mea laysa laka bihee ilm(ilmun), innas sam’aa val baasaaraa val fueada kullu uleaika keana aanhu mas’oolea(mas’oolan).
And do not go after that of which you have not the knowledge (do not try to get in or explain)! Surely the hearing and the sight and the comprehension, all of these are responsible from that (Takfu). (36)
17/Al-Isra-37: Va lea tamshi feel aardı marahea(marahaan), innaka lan taahrikaal aardaa va lan tablugaal cibeala toolea(toolan).
And do not walk on the earth with arrogance! You cannot provoke (move) the earth nor reach the mountains in height (cannot be as high as mountains). (37)
17/Al-Isra-38: Kullu zealika keana sayyiuhu inda raabbika makroohaa(makroohan).
All of these evil (that cause to lose the degrees) is abominable with your Lord. (38)
17/Al-Isra-39: Zealika mimmea avhea ilayka raabbuka minal hikmah(hikmati), va lea tac’aal maaalleahi ileahan eahaara fa tulkea fee cahannama malooman madhoorea(madhooran).
This is of what your Lord has revealed to you of the wisdom. Do not associate any other god with Allah! Otherwise you should be thrown into Hell, blamed, and rejected. (39)
17/Al-Isra-40: A fa aasfeakum raabbukum bil baneena vattahaaza minal maleaikati ineasea(ineasan), innakum la takooloona kaavlan aazeemea(aazeeman).
Has then your Lord preferred for you sons, and taken for Himself from among the angels daughters? Verily you indeed utter a big (an awful) saying. (40)

Or you should have a house of gold or you should ascend up into the sky. We will not believe in your ascending until you bring down to us a book which we may read. Say: “Glory be to my Lord (He is excepted of missing attributes). Am I anything but a human Messenger?” (93)
17/Al-Isra-94: Va mea manaaan neasa an yu’minoo iz ceaa humul hudea illea an kealoo a baaasaalleahu basharan rasoolea(rasoolan).

And whomsoever Allah causes to reach (Himself) then he has attained to Hidayet. And whomsoever He leaves in Misguidance (whoever does not wish to reach Allah before death), you shall not find for him friends besides Him. And We will gather them on the Day of Resurrection on their faces, blind and dumb and deaf. Their abode is Hell. Whenever (the fire) becomes allayed, We shall increase for them the fierceness (of the Fire). (97)

This is their retribution because they disbelieved in our Verses and said: “When we become bones and decayed fragments, shall we than indeed be resurrected into a new creation?” (98)

He said: “Truly you know that none but the Lord of the heavens and the earth has sent down these (nine miracles) as evidence (manifestly) and surely. O Pharaoh! I do certainly believe you to be given over to perdition.” (102)
