Surah Yusuf

Bismillaah ir rahmaan ir raheem

قَالَ رَبِّ السِّجْنُ أَحَبُّ إِلَيَّ مِمَّا يَدْعُونَنِي إِلَيْهِ وَإِلاَّ تَصْرِفْ عَنِّي كَيْدَهُنَّ أَصْبُ إِلَيْهِنَّ وَأَكُن مِّنَ الْجَاهِلِينَ ﴿٣٣﴾
12/Yusuf-33: Keala raabbis sicnu ahaabbu ilayya mimmea yad’oonanee ilayh(ilayhi), va illea taasrif aannee kaydahunna aasbu ilayhinna va akun minal ceahileen(ceahileena).

Imam Iskender Ali Mihr

(He) said: “My Lord! Prison is dearer to me than that to which they invite me. Unless you turn away their plot from me, I will feel inclined towards them and become of the ignorant.”

Abdul Majid Daryabadi

He said: my Lord: prison is dearer to me than that to which these women call me; and if Thou avertest not their guile from me should incline toward them and become of the Ignorant.

He said, ‘My Lord! The prison is dearer to me than to what they invite me. If You do not turn away their schemes from me, I will incline towards them and become one of the senseless.’

He said: "O my Lord! the prison is more to my liking than that to which they invite me: Unless Thou turn away their snare from me, I should (in my youthful folly) feel inclined towards them and join the ranks of the ignorant."
