Al-A'raf-177, Surah The Heights Verse-177

Evil is the likeness of the people who reject Our Verses. And (they) wronged their own souls.

Vile is the likeness of the people who belie Our signs, and their own souls they are wont to wrong.

Evil is the parable of the people who deny Our signs and wrong themselves.

How evil an example are the people who deny Our signs and Revelations, and (in so doing) are ever wronging themselves.

Evil is the case of those who deny Our signs and wrong themselves.

What an evil example is of those who denied Our signs and used to wrong only their own souls.

Sad is the case of the people who cry lies to Our commandments and it is their own selves that they have wronged.

An evil likeness is the likeness of the people who cried lies to Our signs, and themselves were wronging.

Evil is the likeness of a people who deny Our revelations (or Signs) and wrong their own souls.

Evil is the likeness of the people who reject Our Ayat (proofs, evidences, verses and signs, etc.), and used to wrong their ownselves.

And if We had pleased, We would have exalted him thereby; but he clings to the earth and follows his low desire. His parable is as the parable of the dog -- if thou drive him away, he lolls out his tongue, and if thou leave him alone, he lolls out his tongue. Such is the parable of the people who reject Our messages. So relate the narrative that they may reflect.
