Surah Al-Hashr

Bismillaah ir rahmaan ir raheem

لَا يُقَاتِلُونَكُمْ جَمِيعًا إِلَّا فِي قُرًى مُّحَصَّنَةٍ أَوْ مِن وَرَاء جُدُرٍ بَأْسُهُمْ بَيْنَهُمْ شَدِيدٌ تَحْسَبُهُمْ جَمِيعًا وَقُلُوبُهُمْ شَتَّى ذَلِكَ بِأَنَّهُمْ قَوْمٌ لَّا يَعْقِلُونَ ﴿١٤﴾
59/Al-Hashr-14: Lea yukeatiloonakum cameeaan illea fee kuran muhaassaanatin av min vareai cudur(cudurin), ba’suhum baynahum shadeed(shadeedun), taahsabuhum cameeaan va kuloobuhum shattea, zealika bi annahum kaavmun lea yaa’kıloon(yaa’kıloona).

Imam Iskender Ali Mihr

They cannot fight against you as a group, except in fortified townships, or from behind walls (fortresses). Their fighting between them is severe. You think that they are one body, yet their hearts are scattered. This is because they are a people who are not mindful.

Abdul Majid Daryabadi

They shall not fight against you, not even together, except in fenced townships or from behind walls. Their violence among themselves is strong; thou deemest them enjoined, whereas their hearts are diverse. That is because they are a people who reflect not.

Ali Quli Qarai

They will not fight against you together except in fortified townships or from behind walls. Their fierceness is great only within themselves. You suppose them to be united, but their hearts are divided. That is because they are a lot who do not exercise their reason,

Ali Unal

They will never fight against you as a united body (in alliance with the Hypocrites, with the Jews of Khaybar and others), unless it be from within fortified strongholds or from behind high walls. Severe is their belligerent discord among themselves (except when not opportunistically allied in warfare against you). You think of them as one body, but in fact their hearts are at odds with one another: This is because they are a people who do not reason (and come to an understanding of the situations they face).

They will not fight you in a body except in fortified cities, or from behind the walls. Their enmity among themselves is great. You think they are united, but divided are their hearts. That is because these people are devoid of sense,
