Bismillaah ir rahmaan ir raheem

5/Al-Ma'idah-100: Kul lea yastaveel haabeesu vat taayyibu va lav aa’cabaka kasratul haabees(haabeesi), fattakulleaha yea uleel albeabi laaallakum tuflihoon(tuflihoona).

Imam Iskender Ali Mihr

Say: “The malignant (bad and unlawful) and the clean (lawful) are not equal, though the abundance of the malignant (unlawful, mischievous) may please you. O, Ulûl Elbâb! Have piety towards Allah. That you may have Salvation”.

Abdul Majid Daryabadi

Say thou: equal are not the foul and the pure, even though the abundance of the foul may astonish thee; wherefore fear Allah, ye men of understanding! that haply ye may fare well.

Say (O Messenger): "The bad and the good are not alike," even though the abundance of the bad (the sheer quantity of the corrupt) amazes you. So keep from disobedience to God in reverence for Him and piety, O people of discernment (so that you may rightly distinguish quality and quantity and so) that you may prosper (in the next world and in this).

Ahmed Ali

Amatul Rahman Omar

Say, `The bad and impure, and the good and pure are not alike even though the abundance of the bad and impure may charm you.´ Take Allâh, therefore, as a shield (seeking refuge in Him), O you people of pure and clear understanding! so that you may attain the goal.

Arthur John Arberry

Say: 'The corrupt and the good are not equal, though the abundance of the corrupt please thee.' So fear God, O men possessed of minds; haply so you will prosper.

Hamid Aziz

O you who believe! Ask not questions about things which if they are shown to you would trouble you; but if you ask about them when the Quran is being revealed, they shall be made plain to you. Allah pardons this, for Allah is Forgiving and Clement.

Hilali & Khan

Say (O Muhammad SAW): "Not equal are Al-Khabith (all that is evil and bad as regards things, deeds, beliefs, persons, foods, etc.) and At-Taiyib (all that is good as regards things, deeds, beliefs, persons, foods, etc.), even though the abundance of Al-Khabith (evil) may please you." So fear Allah much [(abstain from all kinds of sins and evil deeds which He has forbidden) and love Allah much (perform all kinds of good deeds which He has ordained)], O men of understanding in order that you may be successful.

Maulana Muhammad Ali

The duty of the Messenger is only to deliver (the message). And Allah knows what you do openly and what you hide.
