سورة الرّعد

Surah Ar-Ra'd

Bismillaah ir rahmaan ir raheem

13/Ar-Ra'd-15: Va lilleahi yascudu man fis sameaveati val aardı taav’aan va karhan va zilealuhum bil guduvvi val easeal(easeali).

Imam Iskender Ali Mihr

Whoever is in the heavens and the earth and their shadows fall into prostration unto Allah, day and night, willingly and unwillingly [The shadows of the physical bodies are the soul (Nafs) and the spirit (Ruh). When the physical body prostrates itself, the soul too prostrates itself. The spirit prostrates itself willingly with its virtues. The soul prostrates itself unwillingly because of its vices. If the person has wished to reach Allah, when he attains to the soul’s cleansing stage, then it is the spirit that is preponderant, and the soul also prostrates itself willingly.]

Abdul Majid Daryabadi

And unto Allah prostrateth himself whosoever is in the heavens and the earth, willingly or of constraint, and also thir shadows in the moring and the evenings.

To God bow all who are in the heavens and the earth, willingly or unwillingly, as do their shadows also in the mornings and the evenings.

True prayer is only a call to Allah; and those who call on others besides Him shall not be answered at all, except as one who stretches out his hand to the water that it may reach his mouth, but it reaches it not! The call of the disbelievers is futile.

Hilali & Khan

And unto Allah (Alone) falls in prostration whoever is in the heavens and the earth, willingly or unwillingly, and so do their shadows in the mornings and in the afternoons.

Maulana Muhammad Ali

To Him is due the true prayer. And those to whom they pray besides Him give them no answer, but (they are) like one who stretches forth his two hands towards water that I may reach his mouth, but it will not reach it. And the prayer of the disbelievers is only wasted.
