Bismillaah ir rahmaan ir raheem

هُوَ الَّذِي يُسَيِّرُكُمْ فِي الْبَرِّ وَالْبَحْرِ حَتَّى إِذَا كُنتُمْ فِي الْفُلْكِ وَجَرَيْنَ بِهِم بِرِيحٍ طَيِّبَةٍ وَفَرِحُواْ بِهَا جَاءتْهَا رِيحٌ عَاصِفٌ وَجَاءهُمُ الْمَوْجُ مِن كُلِّ مَكَانٍ وَظَنُّواْ أَنَّهُمْ أُحِيطَ بِهِمْ دَعَوُاْ اللّهَ مُخْلِصِينَ لَهُ الدِّينَ لَئِنْ أَنجَيْتَنَا مِنْ هَذِهِ لَنَكُونَنِّ مِنَ الشَّاكِرِينَ ﴿٢٢﴾
10/Yunus-22: Huvallazee yusayyirukum feel barri val baahr(baahri), haattea izea kuntum feel fulki, va carayna bihim bi reehin taayyibatin va farihoo bihea ceaathea reehun easifun va ceaahumul mavcu min kulli makeanin va zaannoo annahum uheetaa bihim daaavoolleaha muhliseena lahud deen(deena), la in ancaytanea min heazihee la nakoonanna minash sheakireen(sheakireena).

He it is Who makes you travel by land and sea. Even you were in the ships, and they were sailing on with them in a pleasant breeze. And they rejoiced in it. A violent wind overtook them and the billows surged in on them from all sides. They assumed that they were encompassed about. They invoked Allah making their religion pure for Him Alone: “If You deliver us from this, we shall truly be of the grateful ones”.

He it is who enableth you to travel by land and sea until when ye are in ships and they run away with them with a goodly wind and they rejoice thereat, there cometh upon them a tempestuous wind and there cometh unto them a billow from every side, and they imagine that they are encompassed therein, they cry unto Allah making there faith pure for Him: If Thou deliverest us from this. we would surely be of those who are thankful.

And when you are in the ship, and the ships run with their voyagers with a fair breeze, and they rejoice in it, there comes upon them a tempest, and waves surge towards them from all sides, so that they are sure that they are encompassed (by death with no way out), they call upon God, sincerely believing in Him alone (as the only Deity, Lord, and Sovereign): "If You save us from this, we will most certainly be among the thankful."

When you are rejoicing in a boat, a favorable breeze and a violent storm arises with waves surrounding you from all sides. Thinking that you will not survive, you start to pray sincerely to God. In prayer, you say, "If You rescue us from this we shall certainly be grateful".
