Surah Al-Baqarah

Bismillaah ir rahmaan ir raheem

كُتِبَ عَلَيْكُمْ إِذَا حَضَرَ أَحَدَكُمُ الْمَوْتُ إِن تَرَكَ خَيْرًا الْوَصِيَّةُ لِلْوَالِدَيْنِ وَالأقْرَبِينَ بِالْمَعْرُوفِ حَقًّا عَلَى الْمُتَّقِينَ ﴿١٨٠﴾
2/Al-Baqarah-180: Kutiba aalaykum izea haadaaraa ahaadakumul mavtu in taraka haayrea(haayraan), al vaasiyyatu lil vealidayni val aakraabeena bil maa’roof(maa’roofi), haakkaan aalal muttakeen(muttakeena).

Imam Iskender Ali Mihr

Bequest is prescribed for you when death approaches one of you and leaving behind wealth for parents and near relatives, according to Ma’rûf (custom) is a duty (to be fulfilled, a right) upon those who are pious (the owners of piety, “takwâ”).
