سورة الـملك

Surah Al-Mulk

Bismillaah ir rahmaan ir raheem

وَقَالُوا لَوْ كُنَّا نَسْمَعُ أَوْ نَعْقِلُ مَا كُنَّا فِي أَصْحَابِ السَّعِيرِ ﴿١٠﴾
67/Al-Mulk-10: Va kealoo lav kunnea nasmau av naa'kılu mea kunnea fee aasheabis saaeer(saaeeri).

Imam Iskender Ali Mihr

And they said: “If we had heard or pondered, we would not have been among the inmates of the blazing Fire”.

Abdul Majid Daryabadi

And they will say: had we been wont to hearken or to reflect, we had not been among the fellows of the Blaze.

And they will say, ‘Had we listened or applied reason, we would not have been among inmates of the Blaze.’

They will say: "If only we had listened (to him) or reasoned (and distinguished what was to our benefit from what was to our harm, and acted accordingly), we would not (now) be among the companions of the Blaze."
