Surah Al-Baqarah

Bismillaah ir rahmaan ir raheem

وَدَّ كَثِيرٌ مِّنْ أَهْلِ الْكِتَابِ لَوْ يَرُدُّونَكُم مِّن بَعْدِ إِيمَانِكُمْ كُفَّاراً حَسَدًا مِّنْ عِندِ أَنفُسِهِم مِّن بَعْدِ مَا تَبَيَّنَ لَهُمُ الْحَقُّ فَاعْفُواْ وَاصْفَحُواْ حَتَّى يَأْتِيَ اللّهُ بِأَمْرِهِ إِنَّ اللّهَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ ﴿١٠٩﴾
2/Al-Baqarah-109: Vadda kaseerun min ahlil kiteabi lav yaruddoonakum min baa’di eemeanikum kuffearea(kuffearaan), haasadan min indi anfusihim min baa’di mea tabayyana lahumul haakk(haakku), faa’foo vaasfahoo haattea ya’tiyaalleahu bi amrih(amrihee), innaalleaha aalea kulli shay’in kaadeer(kaadeerun).

Imam Iskender Ali Mihr

Many of the People of the Book wish that they could turn you back into unbelievers after your faith, out of envy from themselves, (even) after the truth has become manifest to them; but pardon and be indulgent until Allah makes known (in this matter) His Will (His Decree). Surely Allah has power over all things.

Fain would Many of the People of the Book turn you back infidels after ye have believed, out of envy from their, after the truth hath become manifest unto them so Pardon them, and pass over, until Allah sendeth His command. Verily Allah is over everything Potent.
