Bismillaah ir rahmaan ir raheem
﴿١﴾
12/Yusuf-1: Alif leam rea tilka eayeatul kiteabil mubeen(mubeeni).
Alif-Lâm-Râ. These are the Verses of the Clear (explained) Book. (1)
﴿٢﴾
12/Yusuf-2: Innea anzalneahu kur’eanan aaraabiyyan la aallakum taa’kıloon(taa’kıloona).
Verily, We have sent it down as an Arabic Qur’ân in order that you may be mindful. (2)
﴿٣﴾
12/Yusuf-3: Naahnu naakussu aalayka aahsanal kaasaası bimea avhaaynea ilayka heazal kur’eana va in kunta min kaablihee la minal geafileen(geafileena).
We narrate to you the best of the narratives by Our revealing to you this Qur’ân. And though before this you were certainly one of the heedless. (3)
﴿٤﴾
12/Yusuf-4: Iz keala yoosufu li abeehi yea abati innee ra aytu ahaada aashara kavkaban vash shamsa val kaamara ra aytuhum lee seacideen(seacideena).
Joseph had said to his father: “O my father! Surely I saw eleven stars and the sun and the moon. I saw them prostrating themselves to me.” (4)
﴿٥﴾
12/Yusuf-5: Keala yea bunayya lea taaksus ru’yeaka aalea ihvatika fa yakeedoo laka kaydea(kaydan), innash shayteana lil inseani aaduvvun mubeen(mubeenun).
(His father) said: “O my (dear) little son! Do not relate your dream to your brothers! Then (if you relate) they should plot against you. Surely Satan is an open enemy to man.” (5)
﴿٦﴾
12/Yusuf-6: Va kazealika yactabeeka raabbuka va yu aallimuka min ta’veelil aheadeesi, va yutimmu ni’matahu aalayka va aalea eali yaa’kooba kamea atammahea aalea abavayka min kaablu ibreaheema va isheak(isheaka), inna raabbaka aaleemun haakeem(haakeemun).”
And thus will your Lord choose you and teach you the interpretation of sayings (events) and make His Blessing complete to you and to the children of Jacob, as He made it complete before to your fathers, Abraham and Isaac. Surely your Lord is All-Knowing, All-Wise. (6)
Certainly in Joseph and his brothers there are Verses (lessons) for the inquirers. (7)
When they said: “Certainly Joseph (Yûsuf) and his brother are dearer to our father than we. Though we are a group. Most surely our father is in manifest error”. (8)
﴿٩﴾
12/Yusuf-9: Uktuloo yoosufa avitraahoohu aardaan yaahlu lakum vachu abeekum va takoonoo min baa’dihee kaavman sealiheen(sealiheena).
Kill Joseph or cast him out in some place so that your father’s face may be a friend for you (let the affection of your father be exclusively for you). And after that you may become improved people. (9)
12/Yusuf-10: Keala keailun minhum lea taaktuloo yoosufa va alkoohu fee gaayeabatil cubbi yal-takithu baa’dus sayyearati in kuntum feaileen(feaileena).
A speaker from among them said: “Do not kill Joseph. Cast him down into the bottom of a well if you must do something. Some of the travelers should pick him up.” (10)
12/Yusuf-11: Kealoo yea abeanea mea laka lea ta’mannea aalea yoosufa va innea lahu laneasıhoon(laneasıhoona).
They said: “O our father! Why do you not trust us with Joseph? And most surely we are his sincere well-wishers.” (11)
12/Yusuf-12: Arsilhu maa aanea gaadan yartaa’ va yal’aab va innea lahu laheafizoon(laheafizoona).
Send him with us tomorrow he may eat well and play. And surely we will guard him well. (12)
12/Yusuf-13: Keala innee la yaahzununee an tazhaboo bihee va aheafu an ya’kulahuz zi’bu va antum aanhu geafiloon(geafiloona).
(Their Father) said: “Surely it grieves me that you should take him off, and I fear lest the wolf devour him while you are heedless of him.” (13)
12/Yusuf-14: Kealoo la in akalahuz zi’bu va naahnu usbatun innea izan laheasiroon(laheasiroona).
They said: “Surely if the wolf should devour him, while we are a strong group, then surely, we are the losers.” (14)
12/Yusuf-15: Fa lammea zahaboo bihee va acmaoo an yac’aaloohu fee gaayeabatil cubb(cubbi), va avhaaynea ilayhi la tunabbiannahum bi amrihim heazea va hum lea yash’uroon(yash’uroona).
So when they had gone off with him and agreed that they should put him down at the bottom of the well We revealed to him (Joseph): “You will most certainly inform them of their affair while they do not perceive.” (15)
12/Yusuf-16: Va ceaoo abeahum isheaan yabkoon(yabkoona).
And they came to their father at nightfall weeping. (16)
12/Yusuf-17: Kealoo yea abeanea innea zahabnea nastabiku va taraknea yoosufa inda mateaınea fa akalahuz zi’bu, va mea anta bi mu’minin lanea va lav kunnea seadikeen(seadikeena).
They said: “O our father! We went off racing and left Joseph by our belongings. Right then the wolf devoured him. You will not believe us though we are truthful.” (17)
12/Yusuf-18: Va ceaoo aalea kaameesıhee bi damin kazib(kazibin), keala bal savvalat lakum anfusukum amrea(amran), fa saabrun cameel(cameelun), vaalleahul mustaeanu aalea mea tasıfoon(tasıfoona).
And they brought his shirt with false blood upon it. (Their Father) said: “No. Your souls have tempted you to do something. After this (what I need to do) is good patience. Allah is the (only) one to seek for help against that which you describe.” (18)
12/Yusuf-19: Va ceaat sayyearatun fa arsaloo vearidahum fa aadlea dalvah(dalvahu), keala yea bushrea heazea guleam(guleamun), va asarroohu bideaaah(bidea’aatan), vaalleahu aaleemun bi mea yaa’maloon(yaa’maloona).
And there came a caravan (travelers). They sent their water-drawer and he let down his bucket (into the well). He said: “O good news! This is a youth.” They concealed him as an article of merchandise. And Allah is All-Knowing of what they do. (19)
12/Yusuf-20: Va sharavhu bi samanin baahsin dareahima maa’doodah(maa’doodatin), va keanoo feehi minaz zeahideen(zeahideena).
And they sold him for a low price, for a few silver coins, because they attached no value to him. (20)
12/Yusuf-21: Va kealallazeeshtareahu min mısraa limra’atihee akrimee masveahu aasea an yanfaaanea av nattahizahu valadea(valadan), va kazealika makkannea li yoosufa feel aardı va li nuaallimahu min ta’veelil aheadees(aheadeesi), vaalleahu gealibun aalea amrihee va leakinna aksaran neasi lea yaa’lamun(yaa’lamuna).
And the one who bought him in Egypt said to his wife: “Make his stay comfortable. Maybe he will be useful to us, or we may adopt him as a son.” And thus did We placed Joseph in the land and that We might teach him the interpretation of sayings (events). And Allah is the Winner over His Command, and but most people do not know. (21)
12/Yusuf-22: Va lammea balagaa ashuddahoo eatayneahu hukman va ilmea(ilman), va kazealika naczeel muhsineen(muhsineena)."
And when he (Joseph) had attained his full manhood (puberty) We gave him judgment (wisdom) and knowledge. This is how We reward the doers of good (Muhsinîn). (22)
12/Yusuf-23: Va reavadathullatee huva fee baytihea aan nafsihee va ğaallakaatil abveaba va kealat hayta lak(laka), keala maa eazaalleahi innahu raabbee aahsana masveay(masveaya), innahu lea yuflihuz zealimoon(zealimoona).
The woman, in whose house he (Joseph) was, sought to seduce him. She closed the doors tightly and said: “Come on, you.” He said: “I take refuge in Allah. He is my Lord. He made good my abode. Surely, the wrong-doers cannot have Salvation.” (23)
12/Yusuf-24: Va la kaad hammat bihee va hamma bihea, lavlea an raea burheana raabbih(raabbihi), kazealika li naasrifa aanhus sooa val faahshea(faahsheaa), innahu min ibeadinal muhlaseen(muhlaseena).
And she surely desired him and he himself would have desired her, were it not that he had seen the manifest evidence of his Lord. This is how We turn away from him the evil and indecency. Surely he is one of our servants utterly purified (Muhlesîn). (24)
12/Yusuf-25: Vastabakeal beaba va kaaddat kaameesaahu min duburin va alfayea sayyidahea ladal beab(beabi), kealat mea cazeau man areada bi ahlika sooan illea an yuscana av aazeabun aleem(aleemun).
So they both raced to the door. (She) tore his shirt from the back and they met her husband at the door. (She) said: “What is the punishment of one who intends evil to your family except imprisonment or a painful torment?” (25)
12/Yusuf-26: Keala hiya reavadatnee aan nafsee va shahida sheahidun min ahlihea, in keana kaameesuhu kudda min kubulin fa saadakaat va huva minal keazibeen(keazibeena).
(Joseph) said: “It was she who sought to seduce me. A witness of her own household bore witness. If his shirt is torn from the front, she speaks the truth and he is one of the liars.” (26)
12/Yusuf-27: Va in keana kaameesuhu kudda min duburin fa kazabat va huva minas seadikeen(seadikeena).
And if his shirt is torn from the back, she tells a lie and he is one of the truthful. (27)
12/Yusuf-28: Fa lammea raea kaameesaahu kudda min duburin keala innahu min kaydikun(kunna), inna kaydakunna aazeem(aazeemun).
So when (her husband) saw his shirt torn from the back, he said: “Surely it is a plot of you women! Assuredly, your plot is great.” (28)
12/Yusuf-29: Yoosufu aa’rıd aan heazea vastaagfiree li zanbik(zanbiki), innaki kunti minal heatıeen(heatıeena).
Joseph, turn aside from this. And you (woman) ask forgiveness for your sin. Surely you are one of the deliberate wrong-doers. (29)
12/Yusuf-30: Va keala nisvatun feel madeenatimra’atul aazeezi tureavidu fateahea aan nafsih(nafsihee), kaad shagaafahea hubbea(hubban), innea la nareahea fee daalealin mubeen(mubeenin).
And women in the city said: “The wife of Al-Azîz (vizier) seeks her slave to yield himself to her. Surely the love has penetrated into her heart. Most surely we see her in manifest error.” (30)
12/Yusuf-31: Fa lammea samiaat bi makrihinna arsalat ilayhinna va aa’tadat lahunna muttaka’an va eatat kulla veahidatin minhunna sikkeenan va kealatihruc aalayhinn(aalayhinna), fa lammea ra’aynahoo akbarnahu va kaattaa’na aydiyahunna va kulna heasha lilleahi mea heazea basharea(basharan),in heazea illea malakun kareem(kareemun).
When she heard of their sly talk, she sent for them (an invite) and prepared for them places to sit down face to face. She gave each of them a knife (to peel the fruits) and said (to Joseph): “Come forth to them!” So when they saw him, they admired him and cut their hands. And they said: “Allah, preserve us! This is not a human; this is but a noble angel.” (31)
12/Yusuf-32: Kealat fa zealikunnallazee lumtunnanee feeh(feehi), va lakaad reavadtuhu aan nafsihee fastaa’saam(fastaa’saama), va lain lam yaf’aal mea eamuruhu la yuscananna va layakoonan minas seagıreen(seagıreena).
(She) said: “This is he whom you did blame me! Certainly I sought his yielding himself (wanted to take advantage of his soul). But he abstained firmly. And if he does not do what I order him, he shall certainly be cast into prison and be of the most humiliated ones.” (32)
12/Yusuf-33: Keala raabbis sicnu ahaabbu ilayya mimmea yad’oonanee ilayh(ilayhi), va illea taasrif aannee kaydahunna aasbu ilayhinna va akun minal ceahileen(ceahileena).
(He) said: “My Lord! Prison is dearer to me than that to which they invite me. Unless you turn away their plot from me, I will feel inclined towards them and become of the ignorant.” (33)
12/Yusuf-34: Fastaceaba lahu raabbuhu fa saarafa aanhu kaydahunn(kaydahunna), innahu huvas sameeul aaleem(aaleemu).
Then his Lord answered him. So turned away from him their plot. Verily, He is the All-Hearing, the All-Knowing. (34)
Later it seemed suitable for them after they had seen the evidences that it was best to imprison him till a time. (35)
12/Yusuf-36: Va dahaala maaahus sicna fatayean(fatayeani), keala ahaaduhumea innee areanee aa’sıru haamrea(haamran), va kealal eahaaru innee areanee aahmilu favkaa ra’see hubzan ta’kulut taayru minh(minhu), nabbi’nea bi ta’veelih(ta’veelihee), innea nareaka minal muhsineen(muhsineena).
And two young men also entered the prison with him. One of them said: “I see myself (in a dream) pressing grapes.” And the other (also) said: “I see myself carrying bread on my head, of which the birds were eating. Inform us of its interpretation. Surely we see you to be of the doers of good (Muhsinîn). (36)
12/Yusuf-37: Keala lea ya’tikumea taaeamun turzakeanihee illea nabba’tukumea bi ta’veelihee kaabla an ya’tiyakumea, zealikumea mimmea aallamanee raabbee, innee taraktu millata kaavmin lea yu’minoona billeahi va hum bil eahiratihum keafiroon(keafiroona).
Joseph said: "You will not receive food that is provided to you except that I will inform you of its interpretation before it comes to you. These two are what my Lord has taught me. Surely I have forsaken the religion of a people who do not believe in Allah, and they deny their hereafter (having their spirits reach Allah before death).” (37)
